Heavenbound Hound

Quickstart

1. In Creative mode, find the Heavenbound Hound Spawn Egg and use it to spawn a hound. You can also summon one with /summon com_heavenbound_hound_43entie7:mycustom ~ ~ ~.
2. In Survival, look for hounds in bright surface areas of plains, forests, and savannas.
3. Use bones on a wild hound to try to tame it. Each bone has about a 1-in-3 chance of success; keep trying until it becomes your companion.
4. Let your hound guard you—or name it with a name tag before setting out together. If it dies, its name appears on its memorial.

Overview

The Heavenbound Hound is a large companion that can be tamed with bones. It follows its owner and joins fights to protect players. When a hound dies, it leaves a named memorial and a special tombstone drop.

What It Adds

• A hound with 48 health.
• A Creative spawn egg and natural spawning in plains, forests, and savannas.
• Bone taming and owner-following behavior.
• A memorial with totem particles when a hound dies.

How To Use

Use bones on a wild hound to tame it. A tamed hound follows its owner and can defend them. Hounds also retaliate when attacked; nearby hounds may join in when a player is hurt or starts a fight.

The hound’s close-range bite deals 18 damage and knocks its target back.

Crafting And Obtaining

Hounds can spawn naturally in bright surface areas of plains, forests, and savannas, usually in groups of one or two. In Creative mode, use the Heavenbound Hound Spawn Egg. There is no crafting recipe for the hound or its spawn egg.

Abilities And Mechanics

When a hound dies, a memorial appears at its death location: a polished blackstone-brick base, a wall, and a marker reading the hound’s name followed by “Forever Loved.” Unnamed hounds use “Heavenbound Hound.” Totem particles briefly rise from the site.

The hound also drops a stone item named Great Dane’s Tombstone.
