Haunted Arrow Lord

Quickstart

1. Locate or spawn a Haunted Arrow Lord using its spawn egg (found in the Monsters creative tab). Expect a towering skeletal figure nearly 3.5 blocks tall.
2. Defeat it to collect Haunted Bones — the core crafting material for all new gear.
3. Head to your crafting table and make Haunted Bone Armor, a Haunted Bone Sword, the Haunted Bone Multitool, a Haunted Bone Bow, and Haunted Bone Arrows from your haul.
4. Equip everything and head back out — you are now better geared than the creature that dropped your materials.

Overview

Haunted Arrow Lord adds two new hostile mobs — the Haunted Arrow Lord and the Haunted Skeleton Spider — along with a full suite of powerful craftable equipment made from Haunted Bones. The Arrow Lord is an elite, persistent threat that hunts players around the clock, fields minions, and rides a giant spider mount. Defeating it is the gateway to some of the strongest gear in the game.

Abilities And Mechanics

Haunted Arrow Lord

• Sunlight immunity — unlike normal skeletons, the Haunted Arrow Lord does not burn in daylight and actively hunts you at all times.
• Five-arrow volley — each ranged attack fires five arrows in a rain pattern, spreading horizontally and staggered vertically. Getting caught in the open is extremely dangerous.
• Minion summoning — every ~15 seconds while it has a target, the full-size Arrow Lord summons two mini Arrow Lords nearby. Mini versions have 20 HP, fire two arrows per volley, and do not summon further minions.
• Spider mount — shortly after spawning, a full-size Arrow Lord summons and mounts a Haunted Skeleton Spider. While mounted, the spider targets whatever the Arrow Lord targets and charges toward it. A free Haunted Skeleton Spider will also actively seek out any nearby unmounted full-size Arrow Lord and carry it.
• Follow range — both the Arrow Lord and its spider have a 48-block follow range, so you will not easily outrun them.

Haunted Skeleton Spider

• Melee attacker with 12 attack damage and high movement speed (0.34).
• Can only carry a full-size (non-mini) Haunted Arrow Lord — one passenger at a time.
• When riderless, it searches for nearby Arrow Lords every two seconds and mounts the closest one automatically.
• Drops Haunted Bones on death, helping you build up crafting stock.

Haunted Bone Bow

The Haunted Bone Bow fires any arrow as a critical hit with a base damage bonus of 8, making even regular arrows hit much harder. When paired with Haunted Bone Arrows, which themselves always crit and deal 12 base damage, the combination is exceptionally powerful at range.

Haunted Bone Multitool

Functions simultaneously as a sword, axe, and pickaxe. It mines axe- and pickaxe-mineable blocks at speed 12 and deals 50 damage in melee — making it the highest-damage single item in the mod. It is a true all-in-one tool for survival.

Crafting And Obtaining

Getting Haunted Bones

• Kill a full-size Haunted Arrow Lord → drops 6–10 Haunted Bones (8–12 if killed by a player).
• Kill a mini Arrow Lord → drops 1 Haunted Bone.
• Kill a Haunted Skeleton Spider → drops 3–6 Haunted Bones (5–8 if killed by a player).

Tip: defeating the spider mount before the Arrow Lord dismounts it denies the Arrow Lord mobility and lets you collect bones from both kills.

Armor

Haunted Bone Armor is crafted in the standard armor patterns using Haunted Bones in place of metal ingots.

Progression And Strategy

Early encounter: The Haunted Arrow Lord spawns as a standard monster in the world. Its massive size and five-arrow volley make it deadly in the open. Use cover, close the gap quickly, and prioritize the spider mount first to ground the Arrow Lord.

Dealing with minions: Mini Arrow Lords appear every ~15 seconds of combat. If you let them accumulate, you will be overwhelmed by simultaneous volleys. Dispatch them quickly or use area-of-effect attacks.

Gear priority: With a handful of Haunted Bones, craft the armor set first for survivability. The Multitool is your best melee option once you have enough bones — its 50 damage output makes return fights far more manageable. The Bow + Haunted Bone Arrows combination is ideal for kiting future Arrow Lords safely.

Spider farming: If you need more bones early, Haunted Skeleton Spiders that are wandering without a rider are easier targets and still yield a solid bone drop. Luring one away from its Lord before engaging saves you from the volley threat while you collect materials.
