Giant Goomba

Quickstart

1. Find a Giant Goomba Spawn Egg in the Creative inventory, or summon one with: /summon com_giant_goomba_r6fhowtp:mystrider
2. Spawn it outdoors in a dark area to see its hostile behavior. Naturally spawned Giant Goombas appear on the Overworld surface after dark.
3. Keep your distance: an adult has 40 health and deals 8 melee damage.
4. To ride an adult, use a saddle on it, then interact with it again. While mounted, hold a warped fungus on a stick to steer.
5. Defeat one to collect string, leather, experience, and occasional bonus drops.

Overview

The Giant Goomba is a large, brown-legged hostile mob that roams the Overworld at night. It behaves much like a land-dwelling strider, can walk across lava, and may appear with a rider or a baby Giant Goomba.

It attacks players and villagers, flees from sunlight, and burns in daylight. Water damages it, while fire and lava do not.

How To Use

Finding Giant Goombas

Giant Goombas naturally spawn:

• On the Overworld surface
• In low light, with brightness from 0–7
• On Easy, Normal, or Hard difficulty
• In groups of 1–2
• With a surface density limit of 2

They are most likely to be encountered outdoors at night or in other dark areas.

Spawning One

Use the Giant Goomba Spawn Egg from the Creative inventory, or use:

/summon com_giant_goomba_r6fhowtp:mystrider

Spawning a Giant Goomba can produce an adult, a baby, or an occasional jockey variant.

Riding A Giant Goomba

Only adults can be saddled and controlled.

1. Use a saddle on an unsaddled adult.
2. Interact with the saddled Giant Goomba to mount it.
3. Hold a warped fungus on a stick to control its movement.
4. Use the warped fungus on a stick to trigger a temporary speed boost.

The Giant Goomba has one rider seat. Sneaking while interacting prevents mounting, which is useful when opening or managing the mob without climbing aboard.

To remove the saddle, interact with the saddled Giant Goomba while holding shears and not sneaking. The shears lose durability, and the saddle is returned.

Using Lava

Giant Goombas can walk across lava and move through it without catching fire. They naturally seek nearby lava and can rise or sink with its level.

Keep them away from water: contact with water damages them over time, and they avoid water while pathfinding.

Abilities And Mechanics

A mounted Giant Goomba moves faster when controlled by a player. The warped fungus on a stick also provides a temporary boost; using it consumes durability, and a depleted stick is replaced with a fishing rod.

Babies

Baby Giant Goombas are half the size of adults and follow their parent. They grow into adults naturally over time. Feeding a baby warped fungus helps it grow up faster.

Crafting And Obtaining

There are no added crafting recipes. Obtain Giant Goombas by finding them naturally, using the Giant Goomba Spawn Egg, or summoning them with its summon command.

Drops

Adult Giant Goombas drop:

• 1–3 string
• 0–2 leather
• 1–3 experience when killed by a player

When killed by a player, they also have a chance to drop:

• 1–2 cooked porkchop
• 1–2 brown mushrooms

Looting can increase the amount of string, leather, and bonus drops. A saddled Giant Goomba can drop a saddle.

Progression And Strategy

• Fight Giant Goombas in open terrain so you can avoid their melee attacks.
• Use ranged weapons or attack from a safe height to reduce the risk from their 8-damage strikes.
• Hunt them at night for string and leather, but watch for groups and jockey variants.
• Use lava as safe terrain for the Giant Goomba, but do not lead it into water.
• Saddle an adult if you want a lava-capable mount.
• Carry a warped fungus on a stick when riding so you can steer and boost effectively.
• If keeping one as a display or mount, leash it away from water and shelter it from sunlight.
