Description
Elemental Maces adds craftable, powerful melee maces you prime with right‑click and unleash with a charged smash to trigger spectacular, weapon‑specific effects. Notable weapons include the TNT Mace, which makes a centered "safe" explosion that damages foes and breaks nearby destructible blocks without harming you; the Void Mace, whose charged smash deals massive triple damage; the Wind Mace, which grants a quick dash and prevents fall damage while held; and the Netherite Mace, which offers a dense clearing effect—each mace has clear tooltips, sounds, and consistent server‑side behavior for multiplayer. Updated to version 26.0.0, the mod now reliably loads via its Fabric main entrypoint and makes all mace combat and passive logic safe for any living entity (not just players), so mobs or other entities holding or being affected by maces behave correctly while player‑only mechanics like right‑click cooldowns remain unchanged.

Power Maces
Quickstart
- Craft a Power Breeze Rod — this is the handle used in every mace recipe.
- Pick a mace — craft its Heavy Core using rare materials, then combine the Core with a Power Breeze Rod to finish the weapon.
- Hold the mace, right-click to prime it, then fall and land a charged smash on an enemy to unleash its special effect.
- Check the item tooltip in-game for each mace's specific ability and cooldown.
World craft limits apply. Most maces can only be crafted 3 times per world. The Void Mace can only be crafted once. When the limit is reached you will see a chat message and the recipe result cannot be taken.
Overview
Power Maces adds thirteen elemental melee weapons, each built around vanilla's mace smash mechanic. Every mace is primed with right-click, then activated by landing a charged fall-smash on a target. Each weapon has a unique elemental ability — explosions, dashes, freezing, sonic blasts, and more — plus distinctive sounds and visual effects. All combat logic works in multiplayer and affects any living entity, not just players.

Abilities And Mechanics
How to Activate a Mace
- Hold the mace in your main hand.
- Right-click to prime the weapon (a cooldown applies between primes).
- Fall from height and land a hit on an enemy — this is the "charged smash." The greater your fall, the more damage the base hit deals.
- The weapon-specific elemental ability fires on a successful charged smash.
Passive Effects
The Wind Mace is special: simply holding it in your main hand prevents fall damage and gives access to a right-click dash ability, making it useful for mobility even outside of combat.
World Craft Limits
The server tracks how many times each mace has been crafted across the entire world using a scoreboard. When you attempt to craft a mace that has reached its limit, the chat will display a message such as:
Void Mace has already reached its world crafting limit (1/1).
You will be unable to pick the result up from the crafting table. Limits:
- Void Mace — 1 per world
- All other maces — 3 per world
Notable Ability Highlights
| Mace | Special Behaviour |
|---|---|
| TNT Mace | Explosion centered on impact; breaks destructible blocks in ~7-block radius; you take no self-damage |
| Void Mace | Smash deals ~60 damage — roughly triple a standard hit; extremely rare (1 craft limit) |
| Wind Mace | Passive: fall damage immunity while held; active: right-click dash with ~8 s cooldown |
| Netherite Mace | Dense area clear hitting multiple nearby targets |
| Warden Mace | Sonic-boom blast with a ~20 s cooldown between activations |
Progression And Strategy
- Start with the Wind Mace. Its passive fall damage immunity and dash make early exploration and combat safer, and the ingredients (feathers, elytra, wind charges, flow trim template) are achievable before late game.
- Work toward Netherite and Bastion Maces once you are in the Nether. These require netherite and piglin-related materials, and their clearing effects shine in mob-dense areas.
- Save the Void Mace for bosses. Because it can only be crafted once per world and requires a completed Netherite Mace and Ender Mace as ingredients (plus a dragon egg and beacon), it is the ultimate endgame weapon. Its 60-damage charged smash can one- or two-shot most targets.
- Plan around world limits. On a multiplayer server, communicate with your team — each mace type has a shared world limit. Prioritise which maces suit your role (mobility, AoE, single-target burst) before spending rare materials.
- The Void Core requires already-crafted Netherite and Ender Maces as recipe ingredients, so completing those two first is mandatory before you can pursue the Void Mace.
