Diamond Grove

Quickstart

  1. Explore your world's grassy areas and caves to find the special blocks added by this pack: Diamond Turf, Diamondwood Logs, Diamondwood Leaves, and the Diamond Bloom.
  2. Mine Diamondwood Logs and Diamondwood Leaves with any tool (an axe works best) to collect raw Diamonds directly.
  3. Walk on Diamond Turf as a natural ground cover, and look for Diamond Blooms growing on top of it or on grass.
  4. These blocks appear naturally through world generation — no crafting or spawning items is required to find them.

Overview

Diamond Grove adds a themed set of natural blocks that turn ordinary terrain into a sparkling, diamond-rich environment. Instead of digging deep underground for diamonds, players can find them growing right on the surface and in trees, making diamond gathering part of exploring the overworld's greenery and caves.

What It Adds

BlockDescription
Diamond TurfA grass-like ground block that serves as the base terrain of the Diamond Grove. It can support Diamond Blooms growing on it.
Diamondwood LogA tree trunk block that yields a Diamond when mined.
Diamondwood LeavesLeaf block for Diamondwood trees; has a chance to drop one or two Diamonds when broken.
Diamond BloomA decorative flower-like plant that grows on top of Diamond Turf or regular grass.

How To Use

  • Gathering diamonds from trees: Break Diamondwood Logs to receive a guaranteed Diamond. Break Diamondwood Leaves for a chance at one or two Diamonds per block — clearing out a whole Diamondwood tree canopy can net a handful of diamonds without ever swinging a pickaxe underground.
  • Walking and building on Diamond Turf: This block behaves like normal ground — it can be walked on, built upon, and mined with a shovel for faster results.
  • Diamond Blooms: These small plants only grow on top of Diamond Turf or grass. They are decorative and break instantly when hit, so treat them as scenery rather than a resource.
  • Finding the Grove: Diamond Grove terrain, trees, and cave features generate naturally as part of the world — simply travel until you encounter Diamond Turf, Diamondwood trees, or diamond-flecked caverns.

Crafting And Obtaining

There are no crafting recipes for these blocks — everything is found through natural world generation. The only way to obtain the associated items is to:

  • Mine Diamondwood Logs and Leaves for Diamonds.
  • Harvest Diamond Turf with a shovel to collect the block itself for building.
  • Break Diamond Blooms if you want to clear the area (they yield no items).

Progression And Strategy

  • Prioritize breaking Diamondwood Logs first since they always drop a Diamond, then clear the surrounding Diamondwood Leaves for bonus diamonds.
  • Use Diamond Turf as a decorative or functional building material once collected, since it visually signals "Diamond Grove" terrain.
  • Because diamonds are available above ground in this environment, the Diamond Grove is an efficient early-game stop for gearing up before heading underground for deeper resources.
