    Description:

Daedalus Egyptian Labyrinth is a placeable spawner block: place it to start a 15-second HUD countdown, after which the block consumes itself, clears a 60×60×5 area and generates a ruined Egyptian-style maze with 1‑block‑wide, 4‑block‑high corridors, a single entrance and opposite exit, and a centered 20×20 central chamber containing a sarcophagus treasure chest loaded with abundant high-tier rewards—diamonds, emeralds, netherite, ingots, enchanted golden apples, totems, ender pearls, ancient debris and more—so venture through the maze to claim the loot. The corridors and the central chamber are unlit; bring your own light sources and be prepared for darker, more dangerous exploration.

    Mod Wiki

    Daedalus Egyptian Labyrinth

    Quickstart

    1. Gather sandstone, chiseled sandstone, gold ingots, a spawner, and a soul torch, then craft the Daedalus Labyrinth block at a crafting table (recipe below).
    2. Find a large flat area — at least 60×60 blocks of open space — and place the block.
    3. Watch the HUD countdown: you have 15 seconds to step back before the structure generates.
    4. When the countdown ends the block consumes itself, the area clears, and the labyrinth rises. Enter through the north entrance and bring your own torches — the maze generates no light.

    Overview

The Daedalus Labyrinth is a single placeable block that conjures a sprawling Egyptian-style ruined maze directly in your world. Once placed, it triggers a short countdown and then carves out a 60×60×5 area, replacing it with a hand-crafted stone labyrinth built from sandstone, smooth sandstone, and other period-appropriate materials. At its heart sits a 20×20 sarcophagus chamber packed with high-tier loot. The maze is unlit and unforgiving — navigate carefully or get lost forever in its dead ends.

    What It Adds

    • Daedalus Labyrinth block — a craftable, placeable spawner that generates the maze on placement.
    • A 60×60 Egyptian maze with one-block-wide corridors, many dead ends, loops, and cramped twisting passages.
    • One north entrance and one south exit on opposite sides.
    • Up to four small outer doorways leading into the labyrinth from the sides.
    • Exactly two winding routes that connect all the way through to the central chamber.
    • A 20×20 sarcophagus chamber at the center containing a chest full of rare loot.

    How To Use

    1. Craft the Daedalus Labyrinth block and place it somewhere with at least 60×60 blocks of free horizontal space and at least 5 blocks of vertical clearance.
    2. After placement a HUD action bar countdown begins. The last five seconds flash a warning. Do not stand in the generation zone.
    3. When the timer expires the block disappears and the maze is built. A message confirms when generation is complete.
    4. Enter from the north. Bring torches or other light sources — none are generated inside.
    5. Navigate the cramped corridors, avoid dead ends, and find one of the two paths that lead to the central sarcophagus chamber to claim the treasure.
    6. The south exit lets you escape once you're done — or retrace your steps back north.

Tip: If you break the Daedalus Labyrinth block before the countdown expires, it drops itself and no maze is generated.

    Crafting And Obtaining

The Daedalus Labyrinth block is crafted at a crafting table and unlocks automatically once you have all five ingredients in your inventory.

    Progression And Strategy

Loot is the entire reward. The sarcophagus chest in the central chamber contains a fixed set of high-value items, including:

    • Diamonds and emeralds
    • Netherite scraps and ancient debris
    • Enchanted golden apples and golden apples
    • Totems of Undying
    • Ender pearls and obsidian
    • Heart of the Sea and echo shards
    • Experience bottles, name tags, saddles, and golden carrots
    • Iron ingots and lapis lazuli

Because the maze is completely dark and filled with dead ends, preparation is key:

    • Bring plenty of torches or other light sources to mark explored paths.
    • Carry food and armor — the tight corridors make retreat difficult if hostile mobs spawn nearby.
    • Use string or blocks to mark dead ends so you don't retrace them.
    • Remember that only two paths actually reach the center; most passages loop back or terminate. Systematic left-hand or right-hand wall-following may help, but the looping layout can still trap you.
    • Once you find the chamber, loot the sarcophagus and exit through the south passage to escape.
