Description:
Butterbloom Hollows transforms sections of the Overworld into a lush, otherworldly meadow-and-cave biome wrapped in purple grass, yellow vines, and dark butter-toned water. The biome introduces two new wood types, two new stone families, a grape crop, a complete set of margarine-based armour, a unique pair of flight wings, and custom coloured creatures — all while preserving normal ore veins and mob populations so vanilla gameplay is uninterrupted. Submerging yourself in Butter fluid keeps the screen tinted a warm Buttered Up yellow, reinforcing the cohesive aesthetic throughout exploration.

Equip Margarine Wings in the chestplate slot (they replace an Elytra). While gliding, crouch to activate Slippery Bounce mode. In this mode:
This makes cave navigation and cliff-hopping feel fluid and intentional.
Butter fluid flows through Butterbloom Hollow caves. Submerging in it tints your screen a bright Buttered Up yellow. Purple Creepers that touch it receive a Speed boost.
Any Margarine armour piece can be repaired in an anvil using Margarine Chunks.
All recipe shortcodes are listed below, grouped by category. Stone variants can also be produced more efficiently in a Stonecutter.

Early game: The Butterbloom Hollows biome spawns in the Overworld, so you can reach it before any special equipment. Prioritise chopping Butterbloom Logs — the planks substitute for all vanilla wood, giving you a quick head start on tools and crafting stations. Mine Butterstone and Purple Stone while underground; these smelt back to smooth form for polished brick builds.
Mid game: Once you have enough Margarine Chunks, craft the full four-piece Margarine Armour set for solid protection. Keep spare chunks on hand for repairs. Harvest Grape Vines for food and replant with Grape Seeds to establish a crop near your base. Grape Blocks let you store bulk harvests efficiently.
Late game / Flight: The highest-tier reward is converting an Elytra (with any enchantments already on it) into Margarine Wings. With these equipped, Slippery Bounce Flight turns cave systems and cliff faces from obstacles into launch pads — crouch while gliding toward a wall to ricochet off it and gain a speed burst in the new direction. Planning your approach angles lets you traverse the hollow caves at high speed with minimal rocket usage.
Building: The two stone families each provide three tiers (raw, cobbled, brick) with stairs, slabs, and walls — offering a wide palette of warm-yellow and cool-purple block combinations. Pair them with Butterbloom wood for a complete interior and exterior build set unique to this biome.
