Blue Bolt Battery

Quickstart

1. Obtain a Blue Bolt Battery by crafting it or taking it from the Ingredients tab in Creative mode.
2. Hold the battery and use the food control to eat it. It is always edible, even when your hunger bar is full.
3. For the next 30 seconds, sprint and jump into nearby living entities to shock them.
4. Run into a wall while charged to trigger an electrical blast around you. The blast damages and knocks back nearby living entities.

Overview

The Blue Bolt Battery is a single-use food item that turns you into a supercharged, glowing blur. Eating it grants powerful movement effects and surrounds you with electrical energy that damages and hinders nearby living entities.

What It Adds

  • Does not restore hunger or saturation

  • Grants a 30-second supercharged ability
  • Emits electric and glow particles while active

How To Use

Activate the Battery

Eat the battery to activate its effects. The item is consumed after use.

While active, you receive:

• Speed IV
• Jump Boost II
• Glowing

These effects last for 30 seconds. The battery’s effects are refreshed continuously for the full duration.

Shock Nearby Entities

Every half-second, living entities very close to you are shocked. Each shock:

• Deals 1 heart of damage
• Applies strong Slowness for 1.5 seconds
• Applies Mining Fatigue for 1.5 seconds
• Makes the target glow for 1.5 seconds

The effect targets nearby living entities, including mobs, but does not target you.

Trigger a Wall Blast

While charged, run into a wall or other solid obstruction. Your impact creates an electrical blast around you.

The wall blast:

• Reaches roughly 4.5 blocks from you
• Deals 4 hearts of damage to nearby living entities
• Applies strong Slowness, Mining Fatigue, and Glowing for 3.5 seconds
• Pushes affected entities away from you and slightly upward
• Produces a larger burst of electric particles and thunder

A blast is triggered when you make contact with a wall, rather than continuously while pressed against it. Move away and collide again to create another impact.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe becomes available after entering a world. Craft the Blue Bolt Battery with lapis lazuli, a copper ingot, redstone, an amethyst shard, and glowstone dust:

In Creative mode, the battery is available in the Ingredients tab.

Abilities And Mechanics

Use the battery in crowded areas for repeated close-range shocks, or build up speed and deliberately hit a wall to scatter groups of enemies.

Progression And Strategy

• Save the battery for encounters with groups of mobs or dangerous close-range enemies.
• Sprint through enemies to keep them within your shock radius.
• Use Jump Boost II to clear obstacles and approach targets from above.
• A wall blast is useful when surrounded, since it damages and pushes back multiple nearby entities.
• Avoid wasting the ability by activating it far from enemies unless you need the movement boost.
