Blockwise Adventurer

Quickstart

  • In Creative, search the inventory for Blockwise Adventurer Spawn Egg and use it on the ground. With cheats enabled, you can also summon one with /summon com_blockwise_adventurer_uj6g43op:mycustom.
  • In Survival, look for one spawning alone on bright surfaces in plains, forest, and taiga biomes.
  • Let it roam near exposed logs, ores, and other mineable blocks. It gathers nearby dropped items, fights hostile monsters, and builds a shelter automatically when it has enough planks.
  • To help it recover, drop food nearby. It will pick up the item and eat from its supplies when hurt. Give it room to build: players within about 3 blocks prevent it from starting a shelter.

Overview

Blockwise Adventurer is an autonomous mob that wanders, gathers resources, fights monsters, and builds for itself. It chooses its own tasks; there are no manual work controls to use.

What It Adds

The mod adds the Blockwise Adventurer and its spawn egg. The adventurer has 30 health and a 27-slot inventory for the resources and items it collects.

How To Use

The adventurer picks up dropped items within about 2.4 blocks. Dropped food can become part of its supplies, and it uses food automatically when injured.

It works on exposed, nearby blocks within roughly 3.4 blocks, including logs and wood, stone and deepslate, dirt, gravel, sand, and several common ores. It turns these into basic resources—for example, logs become four matching planks. Its inventory needs free space to collect items and mine successfully.

Abilities And Mechanics

  • Combat: It targets visible hostile monsters nearby and attacks them in melee, dealing 5 damage per hit.
  • Self-healing: When hurt, it can consume food from its inventory to restore 4 health. It waits about 5 seconds between uses.
  • Mining: It looks for exposed resource blocks close to its position and harvests them automatically.
  • Shelter building: With 25 planks, it can build a small plank shelter around itself: a roof, two-block-high walls, and an open doorway. It needs solid, level ground and clear space, and it waits about two minutes between builds.

If killed by a player, it can drop cobblestone, oak logs, bread, or iron nuggets. There is also a 4% chance of an iron ingot.

Progression And Strategy

For a shelter, let the adventurer roam near wood until it has gathered at least 25 planks, then give it a clear, level spot and step away. Exposed blocks close by help it gather resources; nearby dropped items can also fill its inventory. Keep it near hostile monsters if you want to see it fight, but remember that a full inventory can limit its work.
