Blaze Spitter

Quickstart

1. Craft a Blaze Spitter and some Blaze Spitter Magazines at a crafting table; the magazine recipe makes 16.
2. Hold the Blaze Spitter in your main hand and keep magazines in your inventory or offhand.
3. Aim at a target and hold the use button to fire. Release it to stop. Try it on a target in a clear line of sight within 14 blocks.

Overview

The Blaze Spitter is a flame-stream weapon. It fires repeated hits while you hold use, rather than launching a slow-moving projectile.

How To Use

Keep the weapon in your main hand while firing. It can use Blaze Spitter Magazines from your inventory or offhand. Aim carefully: blocks stop the beam, and it can hit a target only if the target is closer than the blocking surface.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Fires about 10 times per second while held; each hit deals 3 damage.
• Reaches up to 14 blocks.
• Shows a bright flame beam along its path. The beam ends at the first target or block it reaches.
• Has 36 durability.

Progression And Strategy

Use it against targets in open sightlines, and keep your aim on a target to land repeated hits. Move closer when firing through clutter or when a target is near the weapon’s range limit.
