Quickstart

Craft a Timber Ripper at a crafting table:

Equip it in your main hand and mine a log, stem, wood block, or bamboo. Nearby connected trunk blocks are cut down with it. Try it on a whole tree; take care around wooden builds, since touching wood may be felled too.

Overview

The Timber Ripper is a fast wood-cutting tool that also works as a melee weapon. It makes a motor sound when you use it, mine a block, or hit an entity.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Fells nearby connected logs, wood, stems, hyphae, and bamboo when you mine one of those blocks. The extra blocks drop normally.
• Cuts many wooden building blocks—such as planks, stairs, slabs, fences, doors, and trapdoors—quickly, but these do not trigger connected-tree felling.
• Has 5 attack damage and 768 durability.
• Connected felling is bounded, so very large connected structures may not be removed all at once.

Progression And Strategy

Use the Timber Ripper to harvest trees quickly or clear wooden builds. Check for nearby wooden structures before cutting: connected trunk-like blocks can be caught in the same felling action.
