Azure Skyshard Dagger

Quickstart

1. Craft the dagger with lapis lazuli, a diamond, and a stick:

1. Place the Azure Skyshard Dagger in your main hand.
2. Attack a mob or other living target with the normal attack control.
3. Watch for the launch effect: some successful hits send the target upward and away from you.

In Creative mode, you can also find it in the Combat item group or use:

Overview

The Azure Skyshard Dagger is a single-stack melee weapon that deals extremely high damage and can launch enemies through the air. Its recipe is available automatically in the recipe book.

What It Adds

• Azure Skyshard Dagger — a crystal-themed melee dagger.
• Deals 20 damage, equal to 10 hearts, per successful hit.
• Has a 20% chance to launch the target.
• Produces a brief camera shake for the attacking player when the launch effect occurs.
• Appears in the Combat item group and counts as a sword for item categorization.

How To Use

Hold the dagger in your main hand and use the standard attack control against a living target. Each successful hit deals 20 damage.

The dagger’s launch effect can trigger on any successful hit. When it does, the target is thrown upward and away from you. The launch direction follows your movement when possible, or your facing direction when standing still.

Craft the dagger using this shaped recipe:

The recipe uses:

• 1 lapis lazuli
• 1 diamond
• 1 stick

The dagger can also be obtained from the Creative inventory or with the /give command shown in the Quickstart section.

Abilities And Mechanics

Heavy Damage

Every successful melee strike deals 20 damage, or ten full hearts. This makes the dagger effective against most ordinary enemies and dangerous against tougher targets.

Skyshard Launch

Each successful hit has a 20% chance to launch the target:

• The target moves upward.
• The target is pushed away from the attacker.
• The push follows the attacker’s movement or facing direction.
• The attacker receives a short camera shake when the effect activates.

Progression And Strategy

The dagger requires both a diamond and lapis lazuli, so it is best suited to players who have reached the stage where diamond equipment is available. Use it for powerful opening strikes, clearing dangerous mobs, or creating distance from groups of enemies.

Because the launch effect is chance-based, do not rely on it as your only defense. Keep room around you when fighting near cliffs, lava, or other hazards, since launched targets may travel farther than expected.
