- Hold Lapse Blue\Maximum Blue in your hand.
- Use the item while aiming at an open area to fire a traveling blue singularity.
- Use the item while sneaking to launch the orbiting blue orb instead.
- Try both abilities near mobs, dropped items, projectiles, and terrain. The blade does not pull its wielder into either singularity.
Each ability has its own 2-minute cooldown. If you try to use an ability before it is ready, the remaining cooldown appears on the action bar and in chat.
Overview
Lapse Blue\Maximum Blue is a powerful sword that creates growing blue singularities. Its abilities:
- Pull living entities, projectiles, and dropped items inward.
- Damage living targets caught in their attraction fields.
- Erase blocks in the area around the singularity without dropping items.
- Release captured targets with a powerful outward knockback when the orbiting orb ends.

The blade can also be used as a normal melee weapon.
How To Use
Traveling Singularity
Use the blade normally without sneaking.
The singularity launches in the direction you are looking and travels forward until it collides with a block or a living entity, projectile, or dropped item. Once it stops:
- It grows for up to 30 seconds.
- Its visible radius expands from roughly 1 block to a maximum of 8 blocks.
- Its attraction field reaches 15 blocks beyond its visible radius.
- Living targets take damage periodically while inside the field.
- Mobs, players other than the wielder, projectiles, and dropped items are pulled toward the center.
- Blocks around the center are erased continuously as the singularity grows.
- Erased blocks do not produce item drops.
The wielder is ignored by the singularity's attraction field.
Orbiting Blue Orb
Use the blade while sneaking.
The orb launches in the direction you are looking, travels outward, and then settles into a horizontal orbit around you at approximately 20 blocks away. While orbiting:
- It grows to its maximum radius of approximately 4.5 blocks over about 8 seconds.
- Its attraction field extends 5 blocks beyond its current visible radius.
- At full size, targets can be pulled from roughly 9.5 blocks away.
- Living targets take periodic damage.
- Living entities, projectiles, and dropped items are dragged toward the orb.
- Blocks around the orb are erased repeatedly without dropping items.
- The orb follows your position while it circles you.
The orbiting orb lasts for up to 60 seconds. When it disappears, targets it has captured are thrown outward from the orb. Living entities receive knockback, while projectiles and dropped items are pushed away.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the sword at a crafting table using:
- 4 Lapis Lazuli
- 4 Diamonds
- 1 Wind Charge
The blade is also available in the Creative inventory under equipment.
Abilities And Mechanics
Attraction
Both singularities pull eligible targets toward their centers. Living entities are damaged at regular intervals while they remain in the field. Projectiles and dropped items are attracted but are not damaged.
The blade's wielder is excluded from the pull, allowing you to stand near or move around your own singularities.
Block Devouring
Blocks inside a singularity's destructive area are replaced with air. They are removed without spawning drops, so use the abilities carefully near builds, farms, storage, and valuable terrain.
The traveling singularity's destructive area expands as it grows. The orbiting orb also becomes more destructive as its radius increases.
Visual Effects
The singularities are marked by bright blue particle effects. The surrounding shell expands as each orb grows, making its destructive and attraction range easier to see.
Progression And Strategy
- Fire the traveling singularity into a group of mobs or against a wall to create a stationary area of control.
- Use it in open terrain when you want the singularity to travel farther before stopping.
- Use the orbiting orb when fighting several enemies around you or when you want a moving hazard that follows your position.
- Keep valuable structures away from either ability because blocks are erased rather than dropped.
- Use the two abilities separately to maintain pressure while one cooldown is active.
- Avoid relying on the orbiting orb for item collection: captured dropped items are thrown outward when it expires.
