Atomic Doom Button

Quickstart

1. Obtain the Atomic Doom Button from the Creative inventory, or craft it at a crafting table:

1. Hold the button and aim at an open area several blocks away.
2. Press the use/interact button.
3. Move away immediately. The blast destroys terrain, summons TNT, damages nearby entities, and creates radioactive fallout effects.

Overview

The Atomic Doom Button is a single-use-per-cooldown destructive item. Pressing it launches a nuclear blast a few blocks in front of you rather than directly at your feet.

The explosion is intended for large-scale destruction and battlefield chaos. Use it only where damaging terrain and nearby creatures or players is acceptable.

What It Adds

• Atomic Doom Button — an epic-rarity item that activates with the use/interact control.
• A large destructive blast that removes blocks in an area.
• A summoned TNT explosion at the blast center.

  • Poison
  • Nausea

How To Use

Hold the Atomic Doom Button in your hand and press the normal item-use or interact button. The blast center is placed approximately four blocks in the direction you are looking, with a slight upward offset.

The item activates immediately. Aim carefully before pressing it, because the destruction occurs around the blast center and can also affect you if you are too close.

The button can be triggered again after its personal cooldown expires. Repeated use attempts during the cooldown do not create additional blasts.

Abilities And Mechanics

Nuclear Blast

The activation clears and destroys a broad region around the blast center. Blocks are destroyed rather than simply replaced, so normal block drops may be produced.

A TNT entity is created at the center after the initial terrain destruction, producing a secondary explosion.

Entity Damage

Entities within roughly 14 blocks of the blast center receive severe explosion damage. The Atomic Doom Button does not exclude the user, so standing near the target area can be fatal.

Radioactive Fallout

Entities caught in the affected area can receive poison, nausea, weakness, and wither. These effects last for different durations, with poison, weakness, and nausea lasting longer than wither.

Cooldown

Each player has an approximately five-second activation cooldown. The item also has a short normal use cooldown, but holding the button down does not bypass the longer blast cooldown.

Progression And Strategy

The Atomic Doom Button has no upgrade path or progression system. Its value comes from choosing the right moment and location.

• Test it in a disposable area before using it near builds.
• Stand well outside the blast zone and keep an escape route available.
• Aim the blast at the center of the area you want to destroy.
• Use it against clustered mobs for maximum effect.
• Avoid activating it in enclosed spaces, near valuable structures, or beside allies.
• Remember that the summoned TNT can cause additional damage after the initial blast.
