Description:
Alpine Lakes transforms high-altitude mountain terrain into a dramatic, realistic alpine environment. Bowl-shaped cirque lakes with organic, irregular shorelines — inlets, bays, asymmetric edges — are carved into granite peaks and serrated ridges. The signature crystal-clear turquoise water fills basins of variable depth while rocky scree slopes, snow-capped summits, dense conifer and aspen stands, and wildflower meadows fill the landscape between the water and the sky.
A fast-changing alpine weather system keeps traversal dynamic. Three unique wildlife species roam the slopes and forests. Biome-specific blocks, resources, and recreational equipment round out the experience.
| Block | Notes |
|---|---|
| Alpine Turf | Grass-like surface block; supports animal spawning; broken by hand |
| Granite Scree | Rocky slope material; requires stone tool (pickaxe) to mine |
| Pine Planks | Wood building material; crafted from Spruce Planks; axe-mineable, flammable |
| Alpine Wildflowers | Decorative flora; instant-break, no collision |
| Item | Function |
|---|---|
| Speed Skis | Held in hand; grants Speed on snow/ice and aggressive downhill acceleration |
| Control Skis | Held in hand; trades raw speed for better steering grip |
| Speed Snowboard | Held in hand; fast downhill variant with minimal steering |
| Control Snowboard | Held in hand; slower but highly maneuverable on snow/ice |
| Stand-Up Paddleboard | Spawns a rideable water vehicle; controlled with WASD |
| Alpine Explorer Kit | One-use bundle that unpacks recreation gear and grants buffs |
| Entity | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Stellar Jay | Passive bird; spawns on the ground in the biome |
| Coyote | Neutral canine; wanders the slopes |
| Brown Bear | Retaliates when attacked; roams forests and shores |
Hold any ski or snowboard item in your main hand or off-hand. While standing on snow, powder snow, ice, frosted ice, or packed snow and moving downhill (descending slope), the item activates automatically:
Speed variants accelerate harder and play faster sound cues. Control variants give gentler acceleration but retain more directional grip, making carved turns easier.
Skis and snowboards have no durability and stack to 1.
Right-click the kit to unpack it. It adds a Paddleboard, Speed Skis, and Control Snowboard to your inventory (or drops them at your feet if full), applies Speed I for 90 seconds and Resistance I for 60 seconds, and plays a chest-open sound. The kit is consumed on use.

Spawn eggs for Stellar Jay, Coyote, and Brown Bear are available in Creative mode via the Alpine Lakes item group.
When the world spawn point falls inside the Alpine Lakes biome, the mod scans a wide radius around the spawn location for the best open surface: the highest solid block with at least 6 blocks of clear air above it, prioritising flat ground near the lake shore. If no clean surface is found the system falls back to shallow water or the immediate lakeshore. Once placed, cloud and falling-water particles appear and the chat displays "You awaken by the alpine lake…"
Weather in the biome changes rapidly. Expect swift transitions between clear skies, rain, and snow — plan traversal accordingly and keep an eye on visibility when crossing exposed ridgelines.
Lakes are generated as organic, irregular basins rather than simple circles. Each lake uses a rotated elliptical base with asymmetric shoreline modulation, variable bays and inlets, rocky shore benches, and a varied lake bottom. This produces realistic, Tahoe-style alpine cirques set inside dramatic mountain bowls.
All three species spawn on Alpine Turf, Granite Scree, grass, dirt, podzol, coarse dirt, or snow blocks.
Download the mod and follow the step-by-step installation guide.
This mod depends on TerraBlender v5.0.0.1. If installing manually, download and add TerraBlender v5.0.0.1 too.

This mod adds a craftable Fillable Minecart: a sealed, chest-sized minecart with 54 internal storage slots that you place on rails like a normal minecart and whose contents persist through saves. The cart automatically vacuums up nearby dropped items while moving or stationary, does not open with a normal right-click (right-click shows a sealed-cart hint), and lets you sneak+right-click to dump all stored stacks at once with a short delay and cooldown. As the cart fills its appearance changes through packed, heavy, and overloaded stages with a growing, irregular cargo pile that now even displays representative item textures and models synced to clients so you can visually tell what it’s hauling; it is crafted from a minecart, chest, hoppers, redstone, and iron and is available in the Redstone creative tab for large-scale hauling and rail-based automation.

Adds a simple per-player Seed Toggle that guarantees exactly one wheat seed whenever you break grass-type plants while the toggle is enabled. Press the default F key (changeable in Controls under the Seed Toggle category) to flip it on or off, and an action bar message will confirm the current state. When disabled, grass drops follow vanilla behavior; the toggle is player-specific and respected on multiplayer servers.

The Anvil Dropper Blade is a powerful bright pink sword that automatically drops an anvil three blocks above any mob you hit with it. Simply attack any creature with the sword, and an anvil will instantly appear in the air above your target, falling down due to gravity to deal additional damage. This makes it both an effective melee weapon and a unique ranged attack tool that can catch enemies off guard with falling anvils.

Slime Flow adds a craftable Flowing Slime Bucket that pours a translucent, gooey liquid you can scoop back up; the green sticky flow behaves like a slow lava you can ride, trap mobs in, or use to build sticky contraptions and farm setups. Players and non-slime mobs bounce on first impact like a slime block, then stick and slowly sink with small rebound pulses and reduced fall damage; submerged heads suffer poison and rapid suffocation faster than in water, and slime will ignite or explode on contact with fire or lava

Boo Veil transforms the Overworld into an ethereal sanctuary of floating isles, glowing forests and ocean-like lagoons full of dense underwater gardens and new resources like Lumina Crystal, Voidstone, Floating Moss and Stardust for crafting lanterns, tools, armor and Stardust-powered recipes. Lumina Mermaids and Lumina Witches are a core part of exploration—mermaids naturally populate lagoons, buff nearby players, trade items and drop a placeable Mermaid Box when defeated (they can also be summoned with spawn eggs), but natural mermaid density is now regulated so encounters feel meaningful rather than overwhelming while box-released mermaids stay persistent. Veil ocean lagoons now sometimes form small emergent water islets topped with Veil Grass, Veil Soil and glowing Boo Veil flowers, creating compact new areas to explore and harvest as you trade with mermaids and witches and craft sanctuary gear to deepen your influence.
