Airstrike Communicator

Quickstart

1. Craft the communicator at a crafting table:

1. Hold the Airstrike Communicator in your hand.
2. Aim at a solid block where you want the strike to land.
3. Press the item’s Use/Interact button.
4. Move away and wait for the airstrike to arrive. The communicator can be used again after about 5 seconds.

You can also obtain it in Creative mode from the Equipment category. Its item ID is com_airstrike_communicator_7xozyicu:my_sword, so it can be given with:

/give @s com_airstrike_communicator_7xozyicu:my_sword

Overview

The Airstrike Communicator is a handheld targeting device that calls in a cluster of TNT explosives above the location you are looking at. Use it to destroy terrain, clear areas, or bombard targets from a distance.

What It Adds

• Airstrike Communicator
  • A single-use-at-a-time handheld item
  • Does not stack
  • Calls in five TNT explosives per activation
  • Has an approximately five-second cooldown between airstrikes

How To Use

Targeting a Block

Aim at a solid block within 64 blocks and activate the communicator. The strike targets the top of the block you are looking at, then summons the explosives approximately 24 blocks above that point.

The five explosives form a compact pattern around the target:

• Two slightly behind the target
• Two slightly in front of the target
• One directly over the center

Targeting Open Space

If you are not looking at a solid block, the communicator targets a point 32 blocks in the direction you are facing. This allows you to call an airstrike into open space or toward a distant location without selecting a specific block.

Cooldown

After activation, wait about 5 seconds before using the communicator again. Activations attempted during the cooldown do not call in another strike.

The item briefly slows your movement while it is being used, so choose a safe position before activating it.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the Airstrike Communicator at a crafting table using iron, redstone, a compass, and a stone button.

It can also be taken directly from the Creative inventory under Equipment.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Each activation summons five TNT explosives.
• The explosives are dropped above the selected target rather than appearing directly on the ground.
• The strike occurs in the same dimension as the player using the communicator.
• Looking at terrain provides the most precise targeting.
• Explosives summoned near the height limits of the world are kept within the valid world height range.

Progression And Strategy

• Use the communicator from high ground or behind cover so you can keep the target in view without standing in the blast area.
• Aim at the center of a large target to spread the five explosives across it.
• For the most reliable targeting, select a solid block instead of aiming at the sky.
• Wait for the cooldown before attempting a second strike.
• Keep extra distance from the target: five TNT explosives can cause substantial terrain damage.
