Urgent Operation: Organ Doctor
By ballblaster
Rebuilt from scratch with more polish on Curseforge! This was my initial trial run for the concept. I rebuilt everything and created tons of polished features from scratch, and published it to curseforge. Check it out. Become a Black-Market ORGAN Doctor, Organ Farmer, or HEROIC SURGEON! Urgent Operation transforms Minecraft into an intense organ transplant survival simulator. Dive into a macabre world where harvesting organs and saving lives are two sides of the same bloody coin. Craft or discover a scalpel, then sneak to open a 27-slot surgical cavity on any mob. Harvest, graft, repair, freeze, or discard organs, all while battling persistent decay timers (Fresh → Damaged → Rotten) and an action-bar countdown that demands careful triage and surgical precision. The removal of any of the three critical organs—the heart, spine, or a pair of lungs—results in immediate death for any mob. NEW: Trap some mobs in order to harvest their ultra rare and powerful organs for your very own powerups when you operate on yourself and graft their rare organs into your own body. Take advantage of stasis vials to make this possible! BEWARE OF ORGAN REJECTION! IF YOUR ORGAN TRANSPLANT BEGINS TO BE REJECTED BY YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM, YOU WILL HAVE TO GET IT OUT ASAP, and REPLACE IT OR DIE IN A LOOP FOREVER... NOT a bug. I think you deserve the slow death loop for not paying close attention to this warning. Ender pearl organ still a work in progress, but the update is complete aside from that!
Core Surgical Mechanics & Systems
Beyond basic surgery, the mod introduces a comprehensive medical ecosystem designed for depth and immersion. The Infection & Treatment system features Infection Vials, Stasis, Permanent Stasis, and Stasis Cures to manage and combat disease. For more advanced procedures, the Organ Repair Bench allows players to stabilize, freeze, cure, graft, and repair damaged organs using specialized recipes. Even the waste from these procedures can be utilized through Macabre Crafting, creating unique items like Meat Blocks and Meat Bricks, or even a functional Rib Cage Armor set.
Players must also manage Patient Agony, which adds a layer of urgency and ethical dilemma to every operation. To facilitate these procedures, Cryostasis & Transport mechanics allow mobs in permanent stasis to enter cryostasis. In this state, they can be dragged with an invisible lead for safe, indefinite transport. While in cryostasis, disease progression is halted, and even critical organ removal will not kill the patient until the stasis is cured. This system opens up emergent gameplay possibilities, including the creation of morally ambiguous "organ harvesting farms" for those who dare to explore the mod's more ambiguous paths. To guide players through these complexities, six unique Medical Research Books provide extensive notes on pathology, stasis protocols, and surgical engineering.
NEW: Organ Augmentation - Unleash Primal Power!
The latest update introduces a groundbreaking system allowing players to implant harvested mob organs into themselves, granting powerful abilities with inherent drawbacks. This new frontier of self-modification begins through the existing self-operation flow (crouch/sneak + scalpel) or with the new Augmentation Kit. Players can implant one organ per each of the six distinct body slots, but must be wary of Organ Quality, which directly influences the implant's strength and risk.
Compatibility & Rejection Mechanics
Every implant carries a rejection chance based on the mob source and organ condition. Organs from passive mobs like pigs or cows offer low rejection with mild side effects, while common hostile mobs like zombies or spiders present moderate risk. The most powerful abilities come from boss or rare mobs like the Wither or Ravager, but these carry a high rejection chance. Upon rejection, players face temporary or persistent penalties, such as reduced health, hunger, or weakness, until the implant is cured or removed. To mitigate these risks, the new Immunosuppressant Vial/Potion temporarily reduces rejection symptoms at the cost of reduced natural healing.
New Items & Fixes
•
Augmentation Kit: Essential for implantation; crafted from a scalpel, stasis vial, and precious metals.
•
Golden Heart: A rare cure (heart + totem of undying + gold) that clears severe rejection penalties.
•
Bug Fix: Animal organ harvesting is now reliable, registering on the first GUI open.
