A scarier Siren Giant stalks the dark, blaring dread and crushing anyone nearby.
Mod Wiki
Siren Giant
Quickstart
- Craft a Siren Beacon using the recipe below.
- Hold the Siren Beacon and use it (right-click / tap use) to summon the Siren Giant near you.
- Run, hide, or fight — you have 1000 seconds to either survive or destroy the Giant.
- Listen for the alarm sound. Its intensity tells you how close and how dangerous the Giant currently is.
- If you defeat it, it drops iron ingots and an echo shard.
Overview
Siren Giant turns the night into a hunt. Once summoned, a colossal, undead giant stalks the world, blaring a distant siren that reveals your position and gradually distorts your senses the longer it hunts. There is only ever one Siren Giant active in a world at a time — summon it, then survive its full 1000-second rampage or strike it down before time runs out.
What It Adds
- Siren Giant — a massive hostile mob with an enormous health pool, crushing melee damage, and the ability to break down doors, climb, and swim in pursuit of players.
- Siren Beacon — a craftable item that summons the Siren Giant and starts a timed encounter.
- Siren Giant Spawn Egg — available for direct spawning if you want to test or trigger an encounter without crafting.
How To Use
- Summoning: Use the Siren Beacon to call the Siren Giant. It spawns a short distance away from you and begins hunting immediately. You'll hear its alarm the moment it arrives.
- The Alarm: Every so often the Giant sounds its siren. The alarm escalates in three stages as the encounter drags on (roughly every 5 minutes it intensifies):
- Stage 1 (early): A distant howl. Nearby players briefly experience darkness.
- Stage 2 (mid): The siren grows closer and more oppressive. Slowness sets in, and darkness lingers longer.
- Stage 3 (late/enraged): The Giant is fully enraged. Effects hit hardest at this stage.
- Proximity danger: If you're caught within the Giant's close-range "panic" radius when it sounds off, you'll suffer weakness, blindness, and (at the final stage) nausea, along with an on-screen warning that "The Siren Sees You." Players a bit further out but still within its "dread" radius just get an ominous atmospheric warning instead.
- Only one Giant at a time: You can't summon a second Siren Giant while one is already active in the world — you'll be told one is already hunting.
- Ending the encounter: The hunt ends when either you kill the Giant (it falls with a triumphant message) or the full 1000 seconds elapse and the siren fades, letting you survive unscathed.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the Siren Beacon with iron ingots, redstone, and an echo shard:

The Siren Beacon is a single-use-per-encounter trigger item (it doesn't stack) and glows with an enchanted shimmer, marking it as a special tool rather than an ordinary craftable.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Massive scale and stats: The Siren Giant towers over players, hits extremely hard, and has enormous health, making it a serious threat rather than a quick kill.
- Relentless pursuit: It targets any nearby player, breaks doors, climbs obstacles, and swims through water to keep chasing — there's no easy way to simply out-maneuver it with terrain alone.
- Immune to knockback and fire: Standard knockback effects and fire damage won't push it back or hinder it.
- Escalating dread: The siren's effects (darkness, slowness, weakness, blindness, nausea) scale up the longer the encounter lasts and the closer you are, so lingering nearby as time passes becomes increasingly punishing.
- Loot on defeat: Killing the Giant rewards iron ingots (with a chance for bonus quantity from looting enchantments) and an echo shard.
Progression And Strategy
- Early in the encounter, the siren's effects are mild — this is the best window to prepare, gather gear, or position for a fight.
- As the timer passes the halfway mark, effects intensify significantly; staying near the Giant becomes very risky.
- In the final stretch, the Giant is fully enraged, and being caught nearby during a siren blast can leave you blind, weakened, and nauseated all at once.
- Decide early whether you intend to fight or flee: fighting requires strong gear to survive its heavy melee damage and immunity to knockback, while fleeing means keeping distance and breaking line of sight until the full 1000 seconds expire.
- Because only one Siren Giant can be active at a time, treat each summon as a deliberate, high-stakes event rather than something to trigger casually.
