Quickstart

1. Craft a World Tree Sapling:

1. Place it on top of a solid block with open space above. Leave room around it for the tree to grow.
2. Keep leaves, logs, flowers, or crops nearby. Right-click the tree to check its Nature Energy and growth progress.
3. When its energy goal is reached, choose Advance in the tree menu. The Juvenile tree unlocks enchanting; the Adult tree unlocks reforging and begins producing World Tree Fruit.
4. At the Juvenile or Adult stage, use the menu to choose gear from your inventory and work with it. The tree can hold one item at a time; choose Take to retrieve it.

Overview

World Tree Ascendant revolves around raising one tree through three stages. It gathers Nature Energy from nearby plant life, which fuels its growth and can later be spent on enchantments. The Adult tree also produces fruit that can be used to reforge gear.

What It Adds

Right-click the tree to open its menu. The same menu can be opened by interacting with the visible tree itself.

How To Use

The tree scans nearby blocks for leaves, logs, flowers, and crops. These blocks are not consumed: the tree periodically counts those within its scan radius to build Nature Energy. Only loaded chunks are scanned.

The menu shows the tree’s stage, Nature Energy, growth threshold, and scan radius. Press Advance when the energy goal is met. The tree’s stored energy is spent on advancing, so it starts gathering again at its new stage.

Crafting And Obtaining

The World Tree Sapling recipe uses an oak sapling and four oak leaves. Juvenile and Adult trees are growth stages of the sapling; each tree stage can also drop its corresponding tree item when broken. These tree items and World Tree Fruit are available in the Creative inventory’s Natural tab.

World Tree Fruit appears near an Adult tree about once per in-game day. Each fruit drop needs solid ground with two air blocks above it, within a few blocks of the tree. Break the fruit block to collect it; if there is no suitable landing spot, fruit may not appear.

Abilities And Mechanics

Enchanting

Enchanting is available from the Juvenile stage onward. In the Enchant menu, choose damageable gear from your inventory, select an applicable enchantment, set its level, and press Apply. The tree holds one item at a time; choose Take when you are done.

Each new enchantment level costs Nature Energy equal to that level multiplied by 10,000. For example, raising an enchantment from level I to level II costs 20,000 energy. The menu shows the cost or refund before applying. Lowering an enchantment level, including removing it, refunds half the energy cost of the levels removed.

Reforging

Reforging is available at the Adult stage. Choose damageable gear in the Reforge menu and press Reforge. Each upgrade level costs World Tree Fruit equal to the new level: the first costs 1 fruit, the second costs 2, and so on.

Each reforge level increases an item’s durability by 10%; tools also gain 10% mining speed per level. Armor gains 0.5 armor and 0.25 toughness per level. Other gear gains 0.5 attack damage and 0.1 attack speed per level.

Progression And Strategy

• Dense plant life within the displayed scan radius helps build Nature Energy faster. Logs, leaves, flowers, and crops all count, and the tree counts them again on later scans.
• Plan for the Adult tree’s larger 50-block scan radius and leave open space around the tree for its growth.
• Keep the Adult tree’s nearby ground clear, with air above it, to give fruit room to appear.
• Save fruit for reforging levels you want: each successive upgrade costs more fruit than the last.
