Whispering Dagger
Quickstart
- Craft a Knight Killer: . Keep it in either hand and defeat creatures to try for their souls.
- Put a soul in your hotbar, then use it on a block to summon its ally. The soul is consumed. Or use the Knight Killer to summon every soul item in your inventory at once.
- Try a Barukas’ Dagger for a speed boost: . Use the Use Item control with special weapons to trigger their abilities.
Overview
Whispering Dagger adds craftable blades, creature souls that summon companions, and two hostile creatures to encounter. Souls follow their summoner when they have no target and pursue nearby living targets.

How To Use
Collect and summon souls
Hold the Knight Killer in either hand when you defeat a creature that has a matching soul. Each eligible kill has a 60% chance to give you its soul. If your inventory is full, the soul drops nearby instead.
Use an individual soul on a block to summon that companion. To summon several at once, use the Knight Killer; it consumes all soul items in your inventory and summons one companion for each.

The Fire Wave Zombie and Whispering Knight can spawn in dark areas. The Ultimate Sniffer is another possible soul companion.
Use the weapons
Select the weapon and use the Use Item control to activate its ability. The action name appears while you hold the weapon. Kamish’s Wrath requires the Left and Right blades in opposite hands; use either one to trigger their shared ability.

Craft these weapons and special souls at a crafting table. Hover over or tap a recipe icon to see its full ingredients and layout.

Abilities And Mechanics
- Debuff Party — Kasaka’s Venom Fang: Use it to activate the effect for 10 seconds; it has a 30-second cooldown. While active, hits can heavily slow targets or cause them to bleed over time.
- Arise — Knight Killer: Use it to summon all soul items in your inventory at once.
- Barukas’ Dagger: Grants Speed IV while held in either hand.
- Devil King’s Dagger: Holding two—one in each hand—grants Strength II.
- Dragon’s Terror — Kamish’s Wrath: With one blade in each hand, use either to send out five expanding fire waves. The ability has a 30-second cooldown.
- Storm of White Flames — Devil King’s Longsword: Use it to call lightning on nearby non-player living creatures. It has a 30-second cooldown.
Progression And Strategy
Start with the Knight Killer and collect common souls, then use them to build a small group of companions. The crafted Fire Wave Zombie Soul, Knight Soul, and Ultimate Sniffer Soul provide additional summon options. Carrying both Kasaka’s Venom Fang and the Knight Killer also grants Speed II, Strength I, and Regeneration I.
