Webfang Stalker

Quickstart

• In Creative, search for Webfang Stalker Spawn Egg and use it to spawn one.
• You can also summon it with /summon com_webfang_stalker_53pzuudn:mycustom.
• Give it room to move, then approach with a clear line of sight to see how it hunts. It attacks automatically; there are no special player controls.

Overview

The Webfang Stalker is a large, hostile spider-like mob. It can climb and pursues visible living targets, but ignores spiders.

What It Adds

• A Stalker with 80 health and a 4-damage melee attack.
• A web snare, a close-range jumpscare animation, and distinct chittering and bite sounds.
• A spawn egg for placing the mob in the world.

How To Use

You can encounter Stalkers naturally in the Overworld, both on the surface and underground. They spawn in low light (light level 0–7) on Easy through Hard, usually in groups of one or two.

The Stalker can climb and pursue targets it can see. When it attacks, it uses a bite at close range, a jumpscare animation nearby, or a web snare from farther away.

Crafting And Obtaining

Use the Webfang Stalker Spawn Egg in Creative or summon the mob with the command above. The mod provides no crafting recipe for the egg.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Bite: Deals 4 damage when the Stalker is in melee range.
• Web snare: At 3–18 blocks away, it can inflict strong Slowness for 6 seconds and place a cobweb at its target’s feet for up to 4 seconds. It can attempt this about every 10 seconds.
• Jumpscare: Within 12 blocks, it may play a brief jumpscare animation. This animation has a 30-second cooldown.
• Climbing: The Stalker can climb obstacles, so walls may not keep it away.

Progression And Strategy

Break line of sight to interrupt its current attack, and avoid letting it close the distance: it can climb and bite at melee range. If you kill it, it drops 0–3 string. Player kills can also yield a spider eye or cobweb; a player’s final hit grants 25–40 experience.
