Description
The Waypoint Anchor is a permanent utility item that lets you save any block in the world as a personal waypoint and teleport between that location and your respawn point at will — no commands, no maps, no fuss. To set your waypoint, simply left-click any block while holding the Anchor. The Anchor intercepts the break action so nothing gets damaged, and your waypoint is saved and stored in the world so it persists across sessions and reloads. To use it, right-click. If you are more than 20 blocks from your respawn point the Anchor sends you back to respawn. If you are already near respawn it sends you to your saved waypoint instead. The Anchor always knows which dimension you are in, so your waypoint is tracked per-dimension and will not send you somewhere you did not intend. Each action gives you clear onscreen feedback — refer to the mod images for examples of the messages the Anchor displays so you always know exactly what it is doing. Teleportation is accompanied by a portal travel sound and a burst of purple ender-style particles so you always know when the jump has fired. If you try to teleport before setting a waypoint the Anchor will prompt you to set one first. Simple, reliable, and it just works.

Quickstart
- Craft the Waypoint Anchor at a Crafting Table (recipe unlocks when you have an Ender Eye or Obsidian in your inventory):
- Hold the Anchor in your hand and left-click any block to lock in that location as your Saved Waypoint. You'll see the message Waypoint Anchored. confirming it was saved.
- Right-click (use) while holding the Anchor to teleport — either back to your respawn point or to your Saved Waypoint, depending on where you're standing.
Overview
The Waypoint Anchor is a reusable utility item that gives you instant travel between two key locations: a block you designate as your Saved Waypoint and your current respawn point (bed or world spawn). The waypoint is stored in the world permanently and survives server restarts and world reloads. It is also dimension-aware, meaning you can set a waypoint in the Nether or The End and teleport back to it from anywhere.

How To Use
Setting Your Waypoint
Hold the Anchor and left-click a block. The Anchor intercepts the action so the block is never broken. Your waypoint is saved one block above the surface you clicked, centred on that block, so you land cleanly on top of it. Each player has their own independent waypoint.
Teleporting
Right-click (use) the Anchor while holding it. The destination depends on your current position:

Both teleports play a portal travel sound and burst purple ender-style particles at your departure point and arrival point.
No Waypoint Set
If you try to teleport to your Saved Waypoint before setting one, the Anchor will remind you: "No waypoint set. Left-click a block to set one first."
Crafting And Obtaining
The Waypoint Anchor is crafted at a Crafting Table. The recipe becomes available once you have Obsidian or an Ender Eye in your inventory.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Dimension-aware waypoints — Your Saved Waypoint remembers which dimension it was set in (Overworld, Nether, or The End). Teleporting to it will move you across dimensions if needed.
- Persistent storage — Waypoints are saved to the world and remain set across reloads and restarts; you never need to re-anchor after logging out.
- Per-player waypoints — Every player on the same world maintains their own independent Saved Waypoint.
- Block protection — While holding the Anchor, left-clicking a block sets the waypoint and never destroys the block, even in Survival mode.
- Visual and audio feedback — Teleports trigger purple portal particles and a portal-style sound at both your origin and destination.
Progression And Strategy
- Early navigation — Craft the Anchor as soon as you have Obsidian and an Ender Eye to establish a reliable fast-travel pair between your base and spawn.
- Two-point shuttle — Because the teleport destination flips based on your proximity to respawn, standing near your respawn sends you to your waypoint, and standing near your waypoint (if it's far from respawn) sends you home. Use this toggle behaviour to bounce quickly between two locations.
- Cross-dimension safety net — Set your waypoint inside the Nether near your portal or at an End stronghold so you can instantly return to a dangerous area without a long journey on foot.
- Respawn anchor pairing — Place your bed close to an important location and set your Saved Waypoint at a second key site to maximise the range of your two-point travel network.
