Quickstart

1. Open your crafting table — the recipe is unlocked automatically when you join the world.
2. Craft the Voidvein Pickaxe:

1. Hold the pickaxe in your main hand and mine any ore block.
2. Watch every ore in the entire chunk instantly shatter and deliver smelted ingots (or other furnace results) straight into your inventory.

Overview

The Voidvein Pickaxe is a netherite-tier pickaxe with a permanent purple enchanted glow. Its defining power is chunk-wide ore smelting on a single swing — break one ore and every ore in that chunk is destroyed and auto-smelted in the same instant, with results sent directly to your inventory.

What It Adds

The pickaxe appears in the Tools creative tab and always displays the enchantment glint regardless of enchantments applied.

Abilities And Mechanics

Chunk-wide ore detonation The moment you mine any ore while holding the Voidvein Pickaxe, the mod scans the entire chunk (16 × 16 × all heights) for every ore block and shatters them all simultaneously — including the one you broke.

Auto-smelting Each destroyed ore is passed through the furnace smelting recipe system. If a smelting recipe exists (e.g., iron ore → iron ingot, gold ore → gold ingot, ancient debris → netherite scrap), you receive the smelted result directly. Ores that have no smelting recipe (e.g., coal ore, diamond ore, redstone ore) drop their normal items instead.

Inventory handling All smelted items are inserted into your inventory automatically. If your inventory is full when the chain detonation fires, leftover items are dropped at your feet. Make sure you have enough free slots before triggering the effect in a rich ore vein.

Durability cost Each ore-break event costs 1 durability, not one per ore destroyed. The pickaxe has 2,048 durability, so it lasts a long time but is not indestructible.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe is automatically unlocked in your recipe book when you join the world, so no prior research or progression step is required.

Progression And Strategy

• Clear your inventory before a big mining session. The chunk-wide trigger means a single swing can yield dozens of ingots at once. A full inventory will scatter items on the floor.
• Use it in ore-dense areas. Deep-slate levels (Y −50 to −60) and the Nether are ideal; one tap can net a full stack of iron, gold, or copper ingots from a single chunk.
• Pair with Mending or Unbreaking. The pickaxe accepts enchantments like any netherite tool, so enchanting it will extend its already generous 2,048-durability lifespan further.
• Ancient Debris works too. The auto-smelt converts ancient debris into netherite scrap, making Nether mining extremely efficient.
• Fortune does not multiply results — the auto-smelt bypasses normal drop mechanics, so each ore yields exactly one smelted result. Keep that in mind when weighing it against a Fortune III pickaxe for specific materials like diamonds.
