Quickstart
- Find a vineyard beside a village and right-click a ripe grape vine with shears to harvest 2 grapes. Ripe vines have mature fruit and regrow after about 20 in-game minutes.
- Craft and place a Wine Press. Right-click it with grapes to load it (up to 3), then right-click with a glass bottle to make one Wine Bottle per grape.
- Eat grapes for a small snack, or drink wine for Regeneration II. For storage, craft a Wine Barrel and Wine Tap; place the tap beside the barrel with its front facing away from the barrel.
Overview
Village Vineyards adds grape vines, grapes, healing wine, and equipment for pressing and storing wine. Vineyards can appear beside villages where the nearby terrain is suitable. You can also start a vineyard by planting grapes on farmland.
What It Adds

How To Use
- Harvest vines: Right-click a ripe vine with shears for 2 grapes. The vine stays planted and resets before regrowing. Breaking a ripe vine also drops grapes, but removes the plant.
- Plant vines: Use a grape on the top of a farmland block with room above it. The grape is consumed, except in Creative mode.
- Press wine: Right-click the Wine Press with grapes to load it, up to 3 grapes. Right-click it with a glass bottle to make one Wine Bottle and use up one charge. The press shows its current fill in the action-bar message.
- Store and dispense wine: Use a Wine Bottle on the barrel’s facing side, or use the tap from its outward-facing side. To dispense wine through the tap, use a glass bottle. The tap must be directly beside a Wine Barrel, with the barrel behind it. Each barrel holds 10 bottles; messages report its fill and when it is full or empty.
Crafting And Obtaining
Look around the edges of villages for a vineyard. If you don’t find one, plant grapes on farmland and wait for the vines to ripen. Crafting recipes:

You’ll also need glass bottles for pressing and dispensing wine.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Grapes restore 2 hunger points and heal 3 health points when eaten. They can be eaten even when you aren’t hungry.
- Wine can also be drunk at any hunger level. It grants Regeneration II for 12.5 seconds and returns a glass bottle to the player.
- Vines ripen about 20 in-game minutes after planting or harvesting. Use shears to collect grapes without losing the vine.
How to install
This Java mod can be used on Windows and Mac PCs with the CreativeMode Launcher or any Minecraft launcher of your choice.
