Venomtail Scorpion Warlord
Quickstart
- In the Overworld, watch for a meteor falling nearby after you spawn. Keep clear of the impact: it explodes, can break blocks and may start fires, then leaves a Meteor Scorpion Egg.
- Break the egg to release the Warlord. In Creative, you can also spawn it with the Venomtail Scorpion Warlord Spawn Egg.
- Defeat the Warlord for a Scorpion Stinger and Scorpion Scales. Use the Stinger while holding it to toggle Poison mode, then hit a target to poison it.
- Craft scale armor, or use scales at a smithing table to upgrade diamond tools.
Overview
The Venomtail Scorpion Warlord is a large, hostile boss that hunts nearby players and attacks in melee. Its attacks deal heavy damage and inflict poison. Defeating it provides the materials for its Stinger, scale armor and upgraded tools.

How To Use
The Warlord can appear when you first spawn in the Overworld: a meteor falls nearby and leaves an egg at its impact site. Breaking the egg releases the boss. In Creative, use the Warlord’s spawn egg to place the boss directly.
The egg takes about two seconds to mine. Be ready for the Warlord when it breaks. The meteor’s impact can damage nearby terrain.
Use the Scorpion Stinger to switch Poison mode on or off. When it is on, hitting an enemy inflicts poison. The Scorpion Scale Axe has its own separate poison toggle; use the axe to switch its mode, then hit an enemy to poison it.
Crafting And Obtaining
The Warlord drops one Scorpion Stinger and 6–10 Scorpion Scales. It also drops leather; Looting can increase the scale and leather drops.

Craft the armor from Scorpion Scales; the helmet also requires a Netherite Ingot. Upgrade diamond tools at a smithing table with a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template and Scorpion Scales. The Scorpion Stinger is obtained from the Warlord, not crafted.
Abilities And Mechanics
- The Warlord has 180 health, a boss health bar and a strong melee attack. Its hit deals 12 damage and inflicts poison for five seconds.
- Poison mode on the Stinger and Scorpion Scale Axe applies poison when you hit an enemy. Each item’s mode is toggled separately.
- The armor’s listed protection is 7 for the helmet, 12 for the chestplate, 10 for the leggings and 7 for the boots.
- The Stinger deals 14 damage. The Scorpion Scale Axe deals 12; the pickaxe and shovel deal 7, and the hoe deals 5.
Progression And Strategy
Prepare for a close-range fight before breaking the egg: the Warlord is tough, aggressive and can poison you. After the fight, use the Scales for armor or upgrade diamond tools at a smithing table. The Stinger and Axe both offer a poison mode for combat.
