Tidefang Blade Hunter

Quickstart

• In Creative mode, find the Tidefang Blade Hunter egg in the Spawn Eggs tab. Use it on the ground to spawn the hunter.
• With commands enabled, summon it with: /summon tidefang-blade-hunter-jypaltub:tidefang_blade_hunter_jypaltub ~ ~ ~
• Watch it roam and engage nearby hostile mobs. Right-clicking the hunter does not give it commands or trigger an action.

Overview

The Tidefang Blade Hunter is a shark-inspired roaming mob that hunts hostile creatures. It pursues targets and attacks with a timed blade slash; it does not need player input to fight.

What It Adds

• The Tidefang Blade Hunter mob.
• A spawn egg for placing the hunter in the world.

How To Use

Spawn the hunter with its egg or the summon command, then let it roam. It wanders when it has no target and seeks hostile mobs within range. It also retaliates if attacked.

The egg has no listed crafting recipe. It is available in the Creative Spawn Eggs tab; the evidence does not specify another survival way to obtain it.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Blade slash: The hunter closes in, then performs a quick slash. The strike deals 7 damage when the target is visible and within close range.
• Targeting: It targets hostile mobs and can pursue them from up to 32 blocks away. It needs line of sight and close reach to land a slash.
• Durability: It has 32 health and 3 armor.
• Recovery: There is a short pause between attacks, so it may pursue a target again before slashing.

Progression And Strategy

For a hands-off fight, spawn the hunter near hostile mobs and give it room to approach. Its slash requires visibility and close range, so obstacles or distance can delay its attack.
