make a horror mod called The Void Awakens. in your world holes that go all the way down through bedrock can spawn, and in the holes, instead of bedrock, blocks of void can spawn, which are pure black and unbreakable. the blocks of void spread by themself but when anything dies near them they spread faster. they damage things 4 hearts per tick when they are standing on them. they also spawn mobs called Children Of The Void, which are like pure black zombies. They are immune to blocks of void. they are double as strong as normal zombies. If you kill them you can get void shards which can be crafted into a full set of armour and tools and also a block of void. a full set of void armour makes you immune to damage from blocks of void. also the armour and tools are stronger and more durable than netherite

Quickstart
- In Survival: Explore the Overworld carefully. Rifts can open nearby as deep shafts with Void Blocks at the bottom. Children of the Void may appear near rifts or spreading Void.
- In Creative: Search the inventory for the Children Of The Void Spawn Egg and use it to spawn one. You can also find the Void items and block in the inventory.
- Fight Children from a safe distance if possible. A player or pet kill can drop 1–2 Void Shards. Craft a Void Sword to help with the next fight.
- Use a crafting table to make Void gear. Wear all four Void armor pieces to avoid damage from Void Blocks.
Overview
The world can develop dark, bottomless-looking rifts. Their unbreakable Void Blocks spread into nearby terrain, and deaths close to the blocks make them spread faster. The spreading Void can bring Children of the Void with it.
What It Adds
- Void Block: A pure-black, unbreakable block that resists explosions. It can spread into nearby terrain and air.
- Children of the Void: Black, zombie-like monsters with 40 health and 6 attack damage. They are immune to Void Block damage.
- Void gear: A full armor set, sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel, and hoe, all made from Void Shards. The gear is more powerful and durable than Netherite.
How To Use
- Watch for rifts in the Overworld and keep clear of their shafts. Void Blocks at the bottom are dangerous to stand on.
- Attack Children of the Void to collect shards. They can also spawn where exposed Void spreads while players are nearby.
- Place a crafted Void Block with the usual block-placement action. It is unbreakable, and nearby Void may spread from it.
- Use Void tools as you would their regular counterparts.
Crafting And Obtaining
Children of the Void drop rotten flesh and can drop Void Shards when killed by a player or pet. Use shards at a crafting table for the following recipes:

Abilities And Mechanics
- Standing directly on a Void Block deals four hearts of damage per tick to living things, except Children of the Void and players wearing a complete Void armor set.
- Void Blocks spread on their own. When an entity dies near them, nearby Void spreads faster.
- Void Blocks cannot be mined or destroyed by explosions; do not count on breaking a path through them.
Progression And Strategy
Prioritize collecting enough shards for the complete armor set: individual pieces do not grant immunity to Void Block damage. Once protected, you can safely cross Void-covered ground, but the armor does not make you immune to other damage. Void tools have 6,000 durability each, and each armor piece has 1,500 durability.
