Overview
The Devourer is a legendary pickaxe that never breaks and never stops growing. It starts as a normal top-tier pickaxe but becomes more powerful the more you use it, eventually excavating a huge cube of blocks in a single swing. Along the way it also rewards you with bonus diamonds and permanent extra health for working deepslate diamond ore.
What It Adds

How To Use
- Equip The Devourer in your mainhand like any other pickaxe.
- Mine as normal — every block you break with it counts toward its growth.
- It behaves like a diamond/netherite-tier pickaxe, so it can mine anything a diamond pickaxe can, including deepslate diamond ore and ancient debris.
- It cannot destroy special blocks like bedrock, barriers, command blocks, or other structural/technical blocks, even at maximum power.
- Watch the action bar while mining deepslate diamond ore — it shows your current "ore luck" streak and chance of bonus diamonds.
- The Devourer can be enchanted like a pickaxe (it has an enchantment value of 10 on the pickaxe enchant table).
Abilities And Mechanics
Growing mining area: The Devourer tracks how many blocks it has personally broken. For every 100 blocks mined, its mining area grows by one size level, up to a maximum 64×64×64 cube. Early on it mines a single block like a normal pickaxe; with enough continuous use it can clear enormous areas in a single strike.
Efficient digging: The Devourer breaks stone, metal, and diamond-tier-diggable blocks very quickly, mines iron-tier blocks slightly slower, and even chews through wood, dirt, and sand with decent speed.
Unbreakable: The Devourer never loses durability and can't be destroyed through normal use.
SECRET: The Devourer has two secret effects good luck figuring out what they are.
Progression And Strategy
- Focus early mining on any blocks to quickly ramp up The Devourer's area-mining size — the first few levels come fast at only 100 blocks each.
- Seek out deepslate ******* ore deposits to farm **********: the longer your uninterrupted streak, the higher your chance of bonus ********, until the streak caps out and rewards you with ********** health.
- Because the pickaxe is unbreakable and scales indefinitely, it's worth using as your primary mining tool from the start — the more you use it, the more powerful and rewarding it becomes.
- Combine its natural area-mining growth with pickaxe enchantments (like Efficiency or Fortune) for even faster, more valuable mining sessions.
