Survival Flight

Quickstart

1. Load into a Survival mode world with the mod installed.
2. Type /fly in chat to enable flight.
3. Double-tap Jump to take off and fly freely — just like Creative mode.
4. Type /fly again at any time to land and disable flight.

That's all there is to it. No items, no crafting, no game-mode switching required.

Overview

Survival Flight gives Survival mode players the ability to fly without switching to Creative mode. A single command toggles the ability on and off, and the server keeps track of your flight status so it persists reliably while you are online.

How To Use

Enabling and Disabling Flight

When you run /fly, you will receive a chat confirmation:

• "Survival flight enabled. Double-tap jump to fly." — flight is now active.
• "Survival flight disabled." — flight has been turned off.

Taking Off and Landing

• Double-tap Jump to lift off once flight is enabled.
• Move normally while airborne using your standard movement keys.
• To land, simply descend to the ground. You will not take fall damage while flying.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Server-side tracking — Your flight permission is stored on the server and reapplied every server tick, so it remains consistent and cannot be lost due to lag or brief disconnects during a session.
• Survival only — The flight ability is only active while you are in Survival mode. If you switch to Creative or Spectator, those game modes handle their own flight normally and are completely unaffected.
• Automatic removal — The moment you toggle flight off with /fly, or leave Survival mode (e.g., switching to Adventure mode), the flight ability is cleanly removed.
• No interference — Creative and Spectator players on the same server are never affected by this mod's flight logic.

Progression And Strategy

• Use /fly to scout terrain, build tall structures, or traverse the world quickly without permanently leaving Survival mode.
• Because flight is toggled with a command, server operators can restrict access to /fly using standard permission management tools if they wish to limit who can use it.
• Remember that your inventory, health, hunger, and game rules all remain in full Survival mode while flying — you are still vulnerable to damage and other Survival mechanics.
