Stormrider Keyblade

Quickstart

1. Craft the Stormrider Keyblade using the recipe below. Its recipe is unlocked automatically when you join.
2. Hold it and use it (right-click by default) to fire a guided lightning orb.
3. Crouch and use it to summon the rocket hoverboard and mount it.
4. While riding, use WASD to move, Space to rise, Shift to descend, and Ctrl to exit. Double-tap W to engage the boosters; release W to disengage them.

Overview

The Stormrider Keyblade is a sword with two special uses: fire a steerable lightning projectile, or transform its power into a rideable hoverboard. You can try both without placing anything in the world.

What It Adds

• Stormrider Keyblade: A durable sword that can fire lightning or summon a board.
• Guided lightning orb: Tracks your aim after firing and strikes nearby living targets.
• Rocket hoverboard: A temporary mount with movement, vertical controls, and a short boost.

How To Use

Use the Keyblade normally to fire an orb in the direction you are looking. Keep aiming to guide it as it travels. It disappears after a short time if it does not hit anything.

Crouch while using the Keyblade to summon the board beneath you. While riding, steer with WASD and look in the direction you want to travel. The on-screen riding guide also shows the controls. Double-tap W to boost forward; the boost ends when you release the key. Shift lowers the board rather than dismounting you. Press Ctrl to exit; the temporary board disappears when you leave it.

Abilities And Mechanics

• An orb hit deals lightning damage, sets its target on fire briefly, and inflicts Electric Shock, which deals additional damage over time.
• The orb steers toward your current look direction, so you can adjust its course after firing.
• While riding the board, you do not take fall damage.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Keyblade is a single-stack item. It can also be found in the Combat section of the Creative inventory. Diamonds can be used to repair it.
