Stickshot Repeater

Quickstart

Craft a Stickshot Repeater with the recipe below, or find it in the Combat tab of the Creative inventory. Keep extra sticks in your inventory or offhand for ammunition.

Hold the repeater and right-click to fire. Aim at a target; it shoots once immediately, then fires again about twice per second while you keep holding the button.

Overview

The Stickshot Repeater launches sticks as projectiles. Each shot consumes one stick and wears down the repeater, so bring both ammunition and a spare weapon for a longer fight.

What It Adds

• Stickshot Repeater: A rapid-fire weapon with 64 durability.
• Stick projectiles: Each projectile deals 5 damage on an entity hit and disappears when it hits an entity or block.

How To Use

1. Put sticks in your inventory or offhand.
2. Hold the repeater and right-click to begin firing; keep holding to continue.
3. Aim at an entity. Each shot uses one stick and costs one durability.

The repeater stops firing when you run out of sticks. Projectiles aren’t recoverable after they hit.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe uses two sticks, string, three oak planks, and a lever. The crafting recipe becomes available after you enter a world. Keep additional sticks for shots—the recipe’s sticks are part of the repeater, not its ammunition.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Fires one stick immediately, then repeats every 10 game ticks (about 0.5 seconds) while held.
• Each shot consumes one stick from your inventory or offhand.
• Each shot uses one durability; a fresh repeater has 64 durability.
• A hit on an entity deals 5 damage. A projectile that hits a block disappears.

Progression And Strategy

Bring a stack of sticks if you plan to fire continuously, and aim carefully to avoid wasting ammunition. The weapon wears down with every shot, so keep an eye on its durability.
