Quickstart

1. Enter the Overworld and watch the action bar: the 5-minute countdown begins while players are in the world.
2. When it reaches zero, Steve hunters begin appearing and chasing players. Follow the action-bar bearing and distance to the Gold pyramid.
3. Search the chest at the pyramid’s summit and use the La Peace item from your hotbar to end the hunt.
4. During the golden-sky sequence, wait for the lapis rain; afterward, try walking over blocks and approaching mobs to use your new powers.

Overview

Steve Army is a timed pursuit and escape challenge. After five minutes, an army of up to 100 Steves hunts players in the Overworld. The hunt ends when a player uses La Peace, found in a chest atop a distant gold pyramid.

The pyramid is at X 2560, Z 2560. During the countdown, the action bar shows the timer. During the hunt, it shows the nearby army count and a bearing and distance to the pyramid.

What It Adds

• Steve hunters: Hostile Steve-like mobs that pursue and attack players.
• Gold pyramid: A distant landmark with the La Peace chest at its summit.
• La Peace: A special-use item that ends the hunt and starts a lapis-themed sequence.
• Lapis power: After the sequence, players transform blocks beneath their feet and nearby mobs into lapis, and become immune to damage and hunger.

How To Use

The countdown runs while at least one player is in the world. When it expires, the hunt begins: hunters spawn in groups and pursue players. They can break some blocks in their path, including dirt, stone, planks, glass, and leaves. If a hunter gets too far from players, it teleports near the closest one.

Head toward the pyramid using the hunt action bar’s bearing and distance. At the top, open the chest and take La Peace. Use it from your hotbar to trigger the end of the hunt.

You can also find a Steve Spawn Egg in the Creative inventory to spawn a Steve.

Crafting And Obtaining

There are no crafting recipes for the mod’s special item. The La Peace item is in the chest at the summit of the gold pyramid.

Abilities And Mechanics

Using La Peace removes the hunting army and displays the blue chat message “La' Peace”. A sound plays, the sky turns gold, and lapis lazuli falls around players for about three minutes.

After the sequence, the golden sky ends and players retain the lapis power:

• Walking over a block turns the block beneath your feet into a lapis block. Air, bedrock, and barrier blocks are unaffected.
• A nearby non-player mob with health is removed and drops two lapis blocks.
• You do not take damage or get hungry.

Progression And Strategy

Use the countdown to prepare, then follow the hunt indicator rather than trying to outrun the Steves indefinitely. They can catch up by teleporting, and their block-breaking can disrupt routes and shelter. Reaching the pyramid and retrieving La Peace is the way to stop the pursuit.
