Starfall Ore Crater

Quickstart

1. In Creative mode, open the Equipment section of the inventory and take the Starfall Ore Crater Wand.
2. Travel to a large, open area away from buildings, farms, or other structures.
3. Hold the wand, aim at the ground, and use it to fire the wand projectile.
4. When the projectile hits, a massive meteor crash site generates around the impact point.
5. Explore the crater, the meteor site, and the underground area beneath it to find the rare ores embedded throughout the structure.

The wand has a short cooldown between uses. Its projectile does not deal damage, but the generated crater can occupy a very large area and replace terrain where it is placed.

Overview

Starfall Ore Crater adds a large meteor impact structure to your world. The site is designed to resemble a realistic crash zone, complete with a deep crater, a meteor impact area, and tall fire-and-smoke particle effects rising high above the site.

The impact site is also a major mining destination. Rare ores appear in, around, and beneath the crash, rewarding players who carefully investigate both the surface and underground sections.

What It Adds

• Crater terrain — a broad area of disturbed terrain surrounding the impact.

How To Use

Placing a Crash Site

Equip the Starfall Ore Crater Wand and aim at a suitable block or open patch of ground. Use the wand to launch its projectile. The projectile follows an arcing path, so aim at the desired impact area rather than directly at a distant target.

When it collides with the world, the projectile disappears and places the complete crash site around the impact location.

For the best results:

• Use the wand in a large, open area.
• Avoid firing near houses, villages, farms, or valuable builds.
• Stand far enough away to see the entire structure and its smoke column.
• Wait briefly for the large structure to finish generating before mining.

Wand Controls

The projectile causes no direct impact damage. Its purpose is to place the structure.

Crafting And Obtaining

The mod does not provide a crafting recipe for the Starfall Ore Crater Wand. Obtain it from the Creative inventory under Equipment, or use:

/give @s com_starfall_ore_crater_byory7wn:structure_wand

The wand’s projectile is supplied automatically for Creative use. If you need to reference the projectile item directly, its identifier is:

Abilities And Mechanics

Impact Placement

The wand projectile activates when it hits the world. The crash site is placed around the impact point rather than only at the block face that was struck, so the final structure extends outward across a wide area.

Because the site is large, placement can overwrite existing terrain and blocks. Always make a backup or choose an unused area if preserving the surrounding landscape is important.

Fire And Smoke Column

The crash site produces special fire-and-smoke particle effects that rise high above the meteor impact. Use the smoke plume as a landmark when returning to the site.

Ore Distribution

Rare ores can be found in several parts of the crash:

• Within the meteor and crater structure
• Around the surface of the impact site
• In material surrounding the crater
• Below the crash site and beneath the surface

Bring suitable mining tools, torches, and storage. Some of the best finds may be hidden below the visible crater rather than exposed on the surface.

Repeated Impacts

The wand can be used more than once. Each successful projectile impact attempts to place another crash site, so keep new impact points well away from previous sites unless you intentionally want to alter or overlap the terrain.

Progression And Strategy

1. Begin in Creative mode and place the first crater in an isolated area.
2. Survey the surface before mining. The crater and meteor provide visual clues about where the structure extends.
3. Mine the exposed ore first to collect quick resources.
4. Search below the crater with shafts or stairways; underground sections may contain additional rare ore deposits.
5. Use markers or the smoke plume to navigate back to the site.
6. Create separate impact zones when testing multiple placements so each crater remains easy to explore.
7. Reserve a large area for each crash site, since the structure and its effects cover much more than a single block.
