Vanadia, The Vanadium Companion!

Quickstart

1. Find Vanadia on the surface of a plains biome in bright conditions, or get the Vanadia Spawn Egg from the Creative inventory. With commands enabled, use /summon com_silly_silver_sentinel_pk46lay3:mycustom.
2. Use an iron ingot, iron nugget, or quartz on an untamed Vanadia to tame it.
3. Interact normally to make Vanadia dance. Sneak and interact to make it sit or stand.
4. Once tamed, equip a saddle and interact to ride. A saddled Vanadia can fly.

Overview

Vanadia is a sturdy silver companion that wanders, watches nearby creatures, and takes on monster-type hostiles. Tamed Vanadia follows its owner and helps defend them. It also has a playful side: expect dances, chirps, sparkles, and the occasional stumble.

What It Adds

• A single silver guardian mob, with a Creative spawn egg.
• Taming, owner-following, sitting, and healing interactions.
• A saddle that lets a tamed Vanadia carry one player and fly.
• Automatic attacks against nearby monster-type hostiles.

How To Use

• Tame: Use an iron ingot, iron nugget, or quartz on Vanadia.
• Dance: Interact without sneaking.
• Sit or stand: Sneak and interact to toggle sitting. A sitting Vanadia stays put until you ask it to stand.
• Ride and fly: Equip a saddle, then interact to mount. Use your normal mounted movement controls to steer. Removing the saddle restores Vanadia’s ground movement.
• Name: Use a name tag to give Vanadia a custom name.

Crafting And Obtaining

Vanadia spawns alone on the surface of plains biomes in bright conditions. You can also spawn it with its Creative spawn egg or the command shown in Quickstart.

No crafting recipe is listed for Vanadia or its spawn egg.

When defeated, Vanadia drops an enchanted iron sword and 2–5 iron nuggets. It has a chance to drop an iron ingot; a player kill can also yield 1–2 amethyst shards.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Guardian attacks: Vanadia seeks out visible monster-type hostiles nearby. Its main strike deals 45 damage; nearby monsters can also take 10 damage.
• Owner’s companion: A tamed Vanadia follows its owner and responds to threats against them.
• Healing: Use an iron ingot to restore 8 health, quartz for 5, or an iron nugget for 3.
• Flight: A saddle enables riding and flight, with one seat for a player.
• Durability: Vanadia has an exceptionally large health pool, so it can withstand a great deal of damage.

Progression And Strategy

Tame Vanadia early if you want a companion that can follow and defend you. Keep iron, quartz, or nuggets handy to heal it after a fight. For travel, add a saddle and ride; when you want it to stay close to home, remove the saddle or use the sit toggle.
