    Mob

    Description:

This mod adds an enhanced Saddle Hen that you can ride across lava as if it were solid ground, keeping the hen and its rider on top instead of sinking. While running on lava the hen prevents both itself and its passenger from catching fire and keeps movement and jumping smooth for safe travel.

    Mod Wiki

    Saddle Hen

    Quickstart

    1. Find a Saddle Hen in the world (it looks like a vanilla Chicken), or spawn one with the Saddle Hen Spawn Egg in Creative Mode.
    2. Hold Wheat Seeds and right-click it repeatedly until heart particles appear — it is now tamed.
    3. Right-click your tamed hen with a Saddle to equip it.
    4. Right-click the saddled hen (without sneaking) to mount it and ride away.
    5. Try crossing a lava lake — the hen walks straight across the surface and neither you nor the hen will catch fire.

    Overview

The Saddle Hen is a tameable, mountable mob for Java Edition Minecraft 26.1 (Fabric). It combines the best traits of a parrot, a tamed wolf, and a lava-walking mount into one powerful companion. Tame it with Wheat Seeds, saddle it up, and ride safely across lava, fire, and the Nether's most hostile terrain.

    What It Adds

    ThingDetails
Saddle Hen mobNaturally spawning, tameable, mountable
Saddle Hen Spawn EggAvailable in Creative Mode / via commands

The Saddle Hen uses the vanilla Chicken appearance.

    How To Use

    Taming

Hold Wheat Seeds and right-click a wild Saddle Hen. Each attempt has a 1-in-3 chance of success. Hearts mean success; smoke means failure — keep feeding until tamed.

    Sitting and Following

    • Unsaddled hen: right-click with an empty hand to toggle sit/follow.
    • Saddled hen: right-click with Wheat Seeds (while not mounted) to toggle sit/follow.

A sitting hen stays put and will not attack.

    Saddling

Right-click your tamed hen with a Saddle to equip it. The saddle is consumed from your hand and you will hear a saddle sound.

Tip: A saddle stored inside the hen's 27-slot inventory also counts as the hen being saddled, enabling mounting and storage just as if directly equipped.

    Opening the Inventory

Sneak + right-click your saddled hen to open its 27-slot chest inventory (three rows). Store anything you like. The full inventory is dropped on death.

    Mounting and Riding

Right-click your saddled hen (without sneaking) to mount it. WASD moves you; the hen faces where you look. Dismount with your dismount key (default Left Shift).

    While mounted:

    • Movement speed is twice that of a horse.
    • Slow-fall (normally a Chicken trait) is disabled, giving normal gravity.
    • Both you and the hen are immune to fire and lava damage.
    • The hen walks on top of lava as if it were solid ground — no sinking.

    Infinite Jumping

Hold the Jump key (Space) while mounted to charge a jump, then release to leap. Unlike a horse, you can jump again immediately while airborne — unlimited times — making vertical traversal effortless.

    Shoulder Perching

If your hen is tamed, unsaddled, has an empty inventory, and is not sitting, it may perch on your shoulder when you walk close to it — just like a parrot.

    Abilities And Mechanics

    Lava Walking

The Saddle Hen treats the top surface of lava as solid ground. It will not sink into lava, and if it enters a lava column it is popped back to the surface immediately. This applies whether ridden or not. Both the hen and any passenger are continuously protected from fire while crossing lava.

    Fire Immunity

The Saddle Hen is always immune to fire and lava damage. While you are riding it, fire is cleared from you each tick as well, so you can pass through fire and lava without taking damage.

    Combat — Wolf-Style Defense

Once tamed, the Saddle Hen will:

    • Attack anything that attacks you.
    • Attack anything you attack.
    • Refuse to attack Creepers or Ghasts.
    • Never attack you or your allies.

Stats compared to a tamed wolf:

    StatTamed WolfSaddle Hen
    Max Health40 HP120 HP
    Attack Damage48

    Healing

Feed your tamed hen any wolf food (most meats) to restore 2 HP per feeding, as long as it is not at full health.

    Parrot Traits

    • Ambient sounds: Sings parrot songs instead of clucking.
    • Mob warnings: Periodically mimics sounds of nearby hostile mobs, alerting you to danger.
    • Dancing: Place a Jukebox playing a record within ~3.5 blocks and it will dance.
    • Poisonous foods: Items that poison parrots (such as cookies) apply the Poison effect. Avoid feeding these.

    Breeding

Two tamed Saddle Hens can breed using the same foods that breed vanilla Chickens (seeds). Baby Saddle Hens are born already tamed and owned by the breeder.

    Baby Growth

Baby Saddle Hens grow naturally over time. Feed a baby a Golden Dandelion to instantly grow it to adulthood. Even as a baby, the hen can be saddled, mounted, and used with full abilities.

    Death Drops

On death the hen drops its equipped Saddle (if directly equipped) and everything in its 27-slot inventory.

    Persistence

A tamed Saddle Hen will never despawn.

    Crafting And Obtaining

There are no crafting recipes. Obtain a Saddle Hen by:

    • Natural spawning — Saddle Hens spawn in the world like other animals.
    • Spawn Egg — Use the Saddle Hen Spawn Egg in Creative Mode or via /give and /summon commands.

    Progression And Strategy

    1. Tame a Saddle Hen with Wheat Seeds. Bring several — each attempt is 1-in-3.
    2. Equip a Saddle by right-clicking with one. Keep a spare saddle in the hen's inventory as a backup so it always recognises itself as saddled.
    3. Load the inventory (Sneak + right-click) with valuables or extra gear — 27 slots always on you.
    4. Cross the Nether safely. The hen walks on lava surfaces, and you both stay fire-free. Use infinite jumping to dodge attacks or climb terrain mid-air.
    5. Let the hen fight. With 120 HP and 8-damage attacks it is a durable frontline fighter. Heal it between fights with meat.
    6. Listen for parrot warnings. The hen mimics nearby hostile mob sounds — pay attention even when enemies are out of sight.
    7. Breed a flock. Babies are pre-tamed and can be fast-tracked to adulthood with Golden Dandelions.

This mod adds Knight Guardians—loyal armored medieval knights you can summon with spawn eggs that follow simple commands like Follow, Stay, Free Roam and Attack, can be promoted to Captains and Generals to lead squads and patrols, be organized into formations, and use helpful gear and modes such as the D Changer, Sigma TNT Blaster, a Limiter and a No Water mode that keeps them on dry ground. A safer co-owner system lets you invite other players to help manage guardians: invited co-owners must accept, can issue Follow and other permitted actions without stealing ownership or accidentally changing Stay/Free Roam orders, and guardians will properly recognize co-owners while remaining owned by the main player.

The Mossburrow Fox is a fast-moving, mossy, leafy fox that lives in packs and breeds more frequently than typical animals. They dig by first carving out a central underground cavern and then extending networks of tunnels outward, creating extensive burrow systems. These foxes will snatch up nearby dropped items to carry away, and when defeated they drop fur and meat for players to collect.

The Starfeather Trader is a mysterious, hovering blue bird-like merchant with vivid lighter-blue plumage and bright yellow eyes that wanders the Overworld leaving soft blue soul-flame particles; approach and right-click to open a vanilla-style trading menu offering valuable potions, spectral arrows, and tipped arrows in exchange for common resources, and it can be spawned with a matching vivid blue and yellow spawn egg. This version makes the trader immune to rain, water, and drowning so it can safely swim or stand in storms, and it no longer teleports away when wet or when players look at it while keeping its original appearance, sounds, peaceful behavior, and trades.

Empty CreativeMode starter project now adds a playable beehive interior system: right-click any beehive or bee nest with a normal stick to be teleported into a linked honeycomb pocket room (the mod creates or reuses a persistent interior for that specific hive). Inside you’ll see invulnerable, labeled display bees that reflect the hive’s stored bee count, and you can place, break, and rearrange blocks just like in the overworld—changes to each hive’s interior persist. To return, right-click any block inside that linked room with a stick and you’ll be teleported back outside to the original beehive.
