Reality Patch Notes Book

Quickstart

1. Craft the book with eight ender pearls, eight gold ingots, and a writable book:

1. Hold the enchanted book in your main hand or off-hand and right-click.
2. In the Reality Patch Notes console, click a patch row to turn it ON. Start with Remove Fall Damage, Speedrun Support, or Bread Supply Drop.
3. Use the category buttons, search box, and mouse wheel to find other patches.
4. Click an active row again to turn it OFF and trigger its rollback behavior.

The console does not pause the game. Keep the book in your main or off-hand while using its controls. Press Esc to close the console.

Overview

The book provides a shared control panel for 160 reality-altering patches. Patches take effect immediately and affect the world or all online players, depending on their behavior.

Patch types include:

• Temporary status effects and player buffs or penalties
• Item, food, tool, and equipment supply drops
• Mob and vehicle spawns near the reader
• Creeper, chicken, and fall-damage rule changes
• Time and weather changes
• Dangerous tests involving hostile mobs, poison, darkness, and bosses

Active patch states are saved to the world and synchronized to connected players. The list order is randomized and preserved with the world, so entries may not appear in the same order in every world.

How To Use

The console

The console displays:

• The number of active patches out of 160
• The number of entries currently shown
• A scrollable patch list
• An ON/OFF state for every entry
• A description and category for each patch

Hover over a patch row to inspect its details, then click the row to toggle it.

Filters and search

Use the category buttons to show:

• All — every patch
• Player — status effects and player rule changes
• Items — supplies, equipment, and grants
• Mobs — mob and vehicle changes or spawns
• World — time, weather, and sky changes
• Chaos — unusual or mixed effects

Click the search box and type part of a patch name, description, or category. Press Enter or Esc to stop editing the search. While searching, Backspace removes one character and Delete clears the search.

Random and emergency controls

• Add Random Patch enables one randomly selected inactive patch.
• Rollback All turns off every active patch and runs each patch's rollback behavior.
• If every patch is already active, the random button has nothing to select.
• If no patch is active, Rollback All has no effect.

Crafting And Obtaining

The book is a single enchanted item and does not stack. Its crafting recipe is unlocked after joining a world. In Creative mode, it is available in the Tools item group.

Abilities And Mechanics

Shared world changes

Patch switches are server-wide rather than personal. Enabling a patch broadcasts its activation to the players in the world, and the current active list is synchronized to all clients.

Most patches activate once when enabled. An item supply patch does not repeatedly refill inventories, and a spawn patch does not continuously generate mobs.

Rollback behavior

Turning a patch off normally reverses the tracked change:

• Status effects are removed or restored to their previous tracked state.
• Mobs, vehicles, and other entities spawned by a patch are despawned when that patch is rolled back.
• Time and weather changes are restored from their saved values.
• The XP Compensation and Health Hotfix patches restore the tracked experience levels or health values.
• Granted items are reclaimed when possible. Items that have been used, moved, or otherwise spent may not be available to remove.
• One-shot effects such as healing, experience, and ordinary item grants do not undo unrelated actions performed after activation.

A temporary effect can expire naturally while its patch still shows ON. Turn it off and on again if you want to trigger that patch again.

Special rule patches

Player effects apply to players who are online when the patch is enabled. The effect durations are visible in the normal Minecraft status-effect display.

Mob and vehicle spawns

Spawn patches create their entities close to the player who activates them. These entities are tracked by the patch and are removed when that patch is rolled back.

Item, food, and equipment grants

These patches grant their listed contents to every online player when enabled.

Progression And Strategy

• Begin with harmless supply drops or movement buffs before trying hostile spawns.
• Use Speedrun Support, Fireproofing Rollout, Water Breathing Protocol, or Slow Falling Safety Net to prepare for dangerous experiments.
• Try Nerf Creepers and Remove Fall Damage before enabling hostile mob patches near a base.
• Keep enough inventory space for supply drops, especially when using patches that grant multiple item types.
• Use the search box for broad terms such as food, water, hostile, spawn, or effect.
• Remember that Add Random Patch can select a dangerous entry, including a warden or wither.
• Use Rollback All after a chaotic test to disable everything and clean up tracked effects, world changes, and patch-spawned entities.
• In multiplayer, warn other players before enabling weather, hostile mobs, poison, darkness, or boss patches: the console controls shared reality, not just the reader.
