Night Vision Helmet

Quickstart

1. Craft the helmet with three iron ingots, one glass, and one redstone:

1. Put the Night Vision Helmet in your head armor slot, or hold it and right-click while your head slot is empty.
2. Enter a dark area, such as a cave or mineshaft. While equipped, the helmet provides continuous Night Vision.
3. Remove the helmet to end its Night Vision effect.

You can also obtain it from the Combat tab in Creative mode. For commands, use:

/give @s night-vision-helmet-k2jntjdz:night_vision_helmet_k2jntjdz

Overview

The Night Vision Helmet is wearable head armor designed for exploring underground areas without placing torches everywhere. Its Night Vision effect remains active as long as the helmet is equipped.

How To Use

Equipping

You can equip the helmet in either of these ways:

• Place it directly in the head armor slot.
• Hold it in either hand and right-click when your head slot is empty.

If another helmet or head item is already equipped, right-clicking the Night Vision Helmet does not replace it.

Night Vision

The helmet grants the normal Night Vision effect while equipped. The effect is automatically refreshed as needed, so there is no potion timer to manage.

Taking the helmet off removes the Night Vision effect.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe uses:

• Iron ingots
• Glass
• Redstone

The recipe is made available in the recipe book after entering a world. The helmet can also be obtained through Creative mode or with its item command.

Abilities And Mechanics

• The helmet can be worn as head armor.
• It provides 3 armor points and 2 toughness.
• It has a maximum stack size of one.
• Night Vision works only while the helmet is equipped.
• The helmet uses the standard armor equipment slot and rendering.
• Its shimmering glint is part of the item’s appearance and does not require a separate enchantment.

Progression And Strategy

Craft the helmet before deep cave, mineshaft, or underground structure expeditions. It is especially useful when you want to keep both hands free for tools, weapons, shields, or blocks.

Keep a normal helmet available for situations where you prefer another head item. Since the Night Vision Helmet only activates when worn, you can swap it in when entering dark areas and remove it when returning to well-lit locations.
