step1 once you have the device it needs one piece of redstone dust or block to get it started hold the device on the main hand and the redstone in the off hand once you have those things then right sneak + right click to add fuel. step2 hold right click until it begins to glow that is how you know it is on and right click again to open the gui and add all the redstone dust or blocks you like. there are 3 slots so you can essentially use it as extra space since the device will last quite a bit based on how much redstone you have. The Pocket Force Field Protection Device is a handheld shield that, when charged and activated by holding right-click for about two seconds, creates a personal field that prevents hostile mobs from targeting you, deflects projectiles, and negates direct melee damage — even bouncing attackers like slimes with a shield-style deflection sound. It starts preloaded with one Redstone Dust and consumes Redstone Dust (about 5 minutes each) or Redstone Blocks (about 90 minutes each); while powered, right-click opens a fuel-management GUI to add or monitor up to three internal fuel slots, and you can quick-refuel by holding a fuel item in your off-hand and sneak + right-click with the device in your main hand, with sounds and messages confirming refueling or errors. The device glows only while active, automatically deactivates when out of energy, and now stays visually steady in your main hand while powered instead of moving or shaking.
