Longlimb Night Terror

Quickstart

• Meet one naturally: Explore the Overworld at night, when hostile monsters can spawn.
• Spawn one for a test: In Creative mode, find the Longlimb Night Terror egg in the Spawn Eggs tab and use it on a block.
• Keep your guard up: It pursues players, can blink close and briefly blind you, and may break nearby torches. Don’t assume a bed is safe if one is close by.

Overview

The Longlimb Night Terror is a towering, hostile creature with Enderman-like movement and teleportation. It targets players and can turn a well-lit area—or a night’s sleep—into a dangerous encounter.

What It Adds

• A four-block-tall Overworld monster.
• A spawn egg for placing the creature in Creative mode.
• Close-range teleport scares, torch-breaking behavior, and sleep interruptions.

How To Use

Use the spawn egg on a block to summon the creature. Once it has a player in range, it pursues them and attacks at close quarters. A successful strike can bring a player who is above half health down to half health.

Crafting And Obtaining

The creature can spawn among Overworld monsters. Its spawn egg is available in the Creative Spawn Eggs tab; there is no crafting recipe listed for it.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Blink scare: When its target is within 12 blocks, it may teleport to a spot nearby, shriek, and inflict brief blindness. It can attempt this again after a short cooldown.
• Torch breaking: It breaks nearby regular, soul, and redstone torches, including wall-mounted versions. Other light sources are not listed as targets.
• Sleep interruption: If you try to sleep with one within 16 blocks, it wakes you, deals damage, shrieks, and targets you.
• Toughness: It has 40 health and awards 15 experience points when defeated.

Progression And Strategy

Treat nearby torches as temporary: the Terror can break them as it closes in. Keep distance when possible, and check the area around your bed before sleeping. If you’re testing it, summon it somewhere open so you can see its teleport and pursuit behavior.
