Quickstart

1. Craft the Modulator at a crafting table using the recipe below.
2. Hold it in your hand, aim at any visible block within ~195 blocks, and press Use (right-click on Java-style controls, or the Use Item button on touch/controller).
3. You will instantly teleport to a glowing platform built on top of that block. Step off the platform when you're done — it cleans itself up automatically.

Overview

The Illudium Q36 Teleportation Modulator is a handheld sci-fi gadget that lets you blink across vast distances in an instant. Aim at any visible surface, activate it, and the Modulator builds a safe landing pad at the target, clears headroom above it, teleports you there, and tidies up after itself — all without a charge time or cooldown.

What It Adds

A single rare handheld item — the Illudium Q36 Teleportation Modulator — that fits in the Equipment tab of your inventory. It has a distinctive enchantment glint, aqua-colored name text, and 250 durability.

How To Use

• Aim at any block (including liquids and passable blocks like tall grass) within roughly 195 blocks.
• Press Use to activate. The Modulator fires instantly — no hold time, no cooldown.
• If you are pointing at open sky or the void, you will see the message "No visible block found in loaded range!" and nothing will happen.
• On a successful teleport, end-chest particles appear at both the origin and the destination, and a level-up sound plays.

Abilities And Mechanics

Platform Construction

When activated, the Modulator builds two identical 5×5 platforms:

One platform is placed directly beneath your feet; the other is built on top of the targeted block. A 5×5 column of air, 4 blocks tall, is cleared above the destination platform so you never teleport into solid terrain.

Teleportation

After both platforms are placed you are immediately moved to stand on the center redstone block of the destination platform. The starting platform is then removed, leaving no trace behind at your origin.

Destination Platform Cleanup

The destination platform persists as long as you remain anywhere on its 5×5 footprint. The moment you step fully off the pad, it is automatically removed. You never have to clean anything up manually.

Durability

Each use consumes 1 durability. The Modulator has 250 uses before it breaks.

The Modulator is crafted at a crafting table. The recipe unlocks once you have collected Crying Obsidian, Sea Lanterns, or Iron Ingots.

Progression And Strategy

• Early exploration: The ~195-block range lets you cross rivers, chasms, and cliffsides without building bridges. Aim at the far bank and blink across.
• Cave diving: Aim at a ledge deep below and teleport down safely — the headroom clear means you won't materialize inside a ceiling.
• No platform clutter: Because both pads self-destruct (origin immediately, destination when you walk away), the Modulator leaves the world clean no matter how many times you use it.
• Keep spare materials: Carry Crying Obsidian and Sea Lanterns for on-the-go repairs so you never run out of charges at a critical moment.
