Quickstart

1. Find or craft a Glitch Portal Block and place it down. Right-click it to see its corrupted "stability scan" interface, or simply walk into or step onto it to be pulled through.
2. Stepping into an active Glitch Portal Block teleports you into the Glitch Void dimension — a dark, distorted realm with black skies and shifting rainbow-colored clouds.
3. Explore the void: chop Glitch Logs, mine Glitch Ore for Glitch Shards, and pick up Glitch Plants.
4. Smelt shards into Glitch Ingots and craft a full set of Glitch tools, weapons, and armor.
5. Watch out for Glitch Zombies and Glitch Endermen — corrupted, faster, teleporting versions of familiar hostiles. Harmless drifting Flickerlings blink around you, phasing in and out of existence.
6. Craft a Glitch Chest () to store your loot, and use Glitch Sticks () for tool handles.

Overview

Glitch Void adds a corrupted pocket dimension full of visual static, black water, glitch-textured mobs, and unstable portals. Every normal creature that wanders into the Glitch Void — sheep, zombies, endermen, spiders, and more — takes on a flickering, glitched-out appearance and distorted sounds, making the dimension feel unstable and hostile in tone even when the mobs behave normally. The realm rewards exploration with unique wood, ore, decorative blocks, and a full equipment set themed around "glitch" materials.

What It Adds

• Glitch Portal Block — a black, static-textured block that pulls players into the Glitch Void dimension when touched, stepped on, or walked through. Right-clicking it opens flavor text simulating a corrupted control panel.
• Glitch Void dimension — an eerie realm with a pure black sky, rapidly shifting rainbow-colored clouds, and dark waters. All mobs found here — vanilla or Glitch Void's own — render with glitch textures and sounds.
• New mobs:
  • Glitch Zombie — a fast, teleporting zombie variant with erratic speed changes.
  • Glitch Enderman — a teleporting enderman variant that frequently blinks around and sends players "corruption" messages when nearby.
  • Flickerling — a small, harmless, gravity-defying slime-like creature that drifts and rapidly teleports short distances, leaving spark and portal particle trails. Cannot be hurt or killed by combat and eventually disappears on its own.
  • Spawn eggs are available for the Glitch Zombie and Glitch Enderman.
• Resources and materials: Glitch Log, Glitch Leaves, Glitch Plant, Glitch Ore, Glitch Shard, Glitch Ingot, Glitch Stick, Glitch Apple.
• Tools and combat gear: Glitch Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, Hoe, and a full armor set (Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, Boots).
• Blocks and decoration: Glitch Chest (a storage container), Rainbow Glitch Wool, Rainbow Glitch Carpet, Rainbow Glitch Terracotta, and Rainbow Glitch Concrete for colorful glitch-themed building.
• Ambient glitch effects: distorted mob sounds, teleport chimes, and particle bursts (electric sparks, reverse-portal effects) that occur throughout the dimension, plus vanilla animals and monsters visually "reskinned" with corrupted textures while inside it.

How To Use

• Entering the dimension: place a Glitch Portal Block and interact with it (touch, step on, or walk through) to teleport. On arrival, you'll briefly experience blindness and a "reality integrity" message — this is a visual/atmospheric effect, not damage.
• Mining and gathering: Glitch Ore drops Glitch Shards when mined (a pickaxe survives-explosion drop). Glitch Logs drop as themselves when chopped, and Glitch Leaves occasionally drop Glitch Sticks.
• Combat: Glitch Zombies and Glitch Endermen behave like their vanilla counterparts but teleport unpredictably and move faster — expect sudden repositioning during fights. Flickerlings are non-hostile and cannot be harmed; they simply drift near players and teleport periodically.
• Building: Rainbow Glitch Wool, Carpet, Terracotta, and Concrete are placeable decorative blocks for building glitch-styled structures, both inside and outside the dimension.
• Storage: the Glitch Chest functions as a normal storage container, opened by right-clicking.

Crafting And Obtaining

• Craft a Glitch Stick from Glitch Logs:

• Glitch Ingots are obtained by smelting Glitch Shards, which are mined from Glitch Ore found within the Glitch Void.
• Tools, weapons, and armor are crafted using standard tool/armor patterns with Glitch Ingots and Glitch Sticks as the base materials.
• Glitch Apples can be eaten for food, fitting the dimension's corrupted, foraged resource theme.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Portal instability: the Glitch Portal Block always teleports players to a safe landing spot in the Glitch Void, generating a small arrival platform if needed.
• Reskinned wildlife: any vanilla mob that enters the Glitch Void — cows, pigs, spiders, skeletons, villagers, and more — automatically takes on a corrupted glitch texture and glitch sound effects while it remains in the dimension, and gets a static, flickering nameplate.
• Teleporting hostiles: Glitch Zombies and Glitch Endermen randomly warp short distances in combat, accompanied by particle effects and distorted sound cues, making them harder to pin down than their vanilla counterparts.
• Flickerlings: invulnerable, non-pushable, weightless mobs that hover and periodically teleport for atmosphere; they vanish naturally after a while and pose no threat.
• Sky and weather distortion: the Glitch Void's sky is solid black and its clouds cycle rapidly through glitchy colors, reinforcing the corrupted setting.

Progression And Strategy

Treat the Glitch Void as a themed resource dimension: enter through a Glitch Portal Block, gather Glitch Logs and Ore, and craft your way up to a full Glitch tool and armor set. Because ordinary mobs are visually and audibly corrupted here, use caution when engaging anything in the dimension — appearances can be deceiving, though most reskinned mobs retain their normal vanilla behavior. Prioritize dealing with Glitch Zombies and Glitch Endermen carefully due to their teleporting evasiveness, while Flickerlings can be safely ignored as ambient decoration. Store gathered materials in a Glitch Chest and use Rainbow Glitch blocks to build a base that fits the dimension's glitchy aesthetic.
