Geode Burrow Sprite

Quickstart

1. Craft the Geode Burrow Sprite item using amethyst shards, calcite, and an echo shard (see recipe below).
2. Hold it and right-click (use item) to summon a glowing sprite in front of you.
3. Watch it slowly dig out a wide tunnel in the direction you were facing, dropping the blocks it destroys as loot.
4. Stay within 50 blocks of the sprite or it will vanish. Follow it to collect resources as it digs.

Overview

The Geode Burrow Sprite is a summonable helper that carves out large tunnels for you. Once summoned, it flies forward on its own, chewing through blocks in thick 4x4-ish sections and leaving behind their drops for you to pick up. It's a passive mining companion rather than a combat pet — it won't fight, just dig.

What It Adds

• Geode Burrow Sprite (item) — a single-use-per-cooldown summoning charm with a purple enchanted glow.
• Geode Burrow Sprite (entity) — a small floating sprite that tunnels through terrain, dropping mined blocks as it goes.

How To Use

• Right-click with the item in hand to summon the sprite. It appears a couple blocks ahead of you, facing the direction you were looking.
• The sprite immediately begins slowly flying forward along that direction, mining out a wide tunnel as it travels.
• Broken blocks drop their normal loot on the ground near the tunnel — pick it up as you follow.
• The sprite leaves behind sparkling particle trails and occasional mining sound effects so it's easy to track.
• Using the item has a short cooldown before you can summon another sprite, and using it consumes a small amount of the item's durability.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Tunneling: The sprite mines out a wide path in a straight line, clearing blocks and dropping their contents as it moves.
• Indestructible blocks: Unbreakable or special blocks (like command blocks, barriers, and structure blocks) are left untouched.
• Leash range: The sprite disappears in a burst of particles and sound if you move more than 50 blocks away from it.
• Lifespan: Even if you stay close, the sprite will eventually vanish on its own after a couple of minutes of digging.
• One at a time (per cooldown): A short cooldown after summoning prevents spawning a flood of sprites at once.
• Durability: The item takes a small amount of damage each time it's used, so it can be summoned multiple times before it wears out, unless used in Creative mode.

Progression And Strategy

Use the Geode Burrow Sprite to quickly open up straight tunnels through stone, caves, or geode-rich terrain without swinging a pickaxe yourself. Aim the sprite carefully before summoning it, since it commits to the direction you were facing at that moment. Follow closely behind to gather all the loot before it decays or wanders too far, and re-summon a fresh sprite whenever you need to keep tunneling.
