Evil Rick Portal Realms

Quickstart

1. Craft a and a at a crafting table.
2. Use the Realm Compass, choose Riftlands, then choose Enter Riftlands. Explore its unusual terrain and gather supplies before challenging Evil Rick.
3. When you’re ready, use the compass again and enter Evil Rick’s Citadel. Evil Rick appears there while the encounter remains undefeated, so gear up first.
4. To travel with a portal gun, use it, select a destination, then choose an aperture color. Walk through the portal that appears in front of you.
5. Use the Evil Marty Character Token to switch into Evil Marty’s form; use it again to switch back.

Overview

Travel between two custom dimensions, explore the Riftlands, and face Evil Rick in his Citadel. Portal guns also offer routes to several familiar Minecraft dimensions and biomes. Craftable armor sets help you prepare for the journey and the boss fight.

What It Adds

• Riftlands: Riftwood Wilds, Chromatic Dunes, and Violet Highlands, along with the Rift Sea.
• Evil Rick’s Citadel: A stark, terraced realm of blackstone and obsidian, where the boss encounter takes place.
• Portal guns: Choose a destination and an aperture color, then travel through the portal.
• Realm Compass: Opens travel choices for the Riftlands and Citadel, including a return-home option when you’re in either realm.
• Evil Marty Character Token: Toggles Evil Marty’s character form.
• Three armor sets: Portal Runner, Chrono Tech, and Citadel Guard.

How To Use

Portal guns

Use the Rift Portal Gun, Rift Portal Gun Mk. II, or Citadel Portal Gun to open the destination menu. Available destinations include the Riftlands, Evil Rick’s Citadel, the Overworld, the Nether, and The End, as well as selected Overworld and Nether biomes. After choosing a destination, pick one of six portal colors: purple, blue, green, red, orange, or white. The color changes the portal’s appearance.

Realm Compass

Use the compass and choose Riftlands or Evil Rick’s Citadel. Select the option to enter the realm, or choose Return home while inside it.

Evil Marty Character Token

Use the token to switch between Evil Marty’s form and your normal form.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the listed items at a crafting table. Select or hover over a recipe image to view its full ingredients and layout.

The Portal Runner set uses leather and amethyst; Chrono Tech uses copper and gold; Citadel Guard uses obsidian and netherite scrap. Some individual pieces also call for iron, amethyst, or gold.

Evil Rick can also be spawned with a spawn egg from Creative inventory. With commands enabled, summon him using:

/summon com_evil_rick_portal_realms_t3icb2mi:evil_rick_boss

Abilities And Mechanics

Evil Rick is a hostile boss with 180 health and 12 melee attack damage. Defeating him marks the encounter as defeated for the world; he will not automatically reappear afterward. His loot includes the Citadel Portal Gun.

The armor sets have different protection and durability. Listed protection is in helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots order; durability applies to each piece.

Progression And Strategy

Start with Portal Runner gear, then work toward Chrono Tech and Citadel Guard for higher protection and durability. Explore the Riftlands and stock up before entering the Citadel: Evil Rick is a substantial melee threat. Keep a portal gun handy for choosing destinations, and use the Realm Compass when you want to travel between the two custom realms.
