Quickstart

1. Craft the Emotion Engine using the recipe below, then place it anywhere in your world.
2. Right-click the console to open the full GUI and pick a mood from the mood matrix.
3. Stand inside the effect radius and watch the sky tint shift, particles appear, and status effects apply.
4. Sneak + Right-click to quickly cycle to the next mood without opening any screen.

Overview

The Emotion Engine is a compact, single-block blue console that broadcasts one of twelve emotional moods into the surrounding area. Each mood reshapes the nearby environment in a different way — shifting the sky colour, spawning particles, altering weather, buffing or debuffing players and mobs, playing ambient sounds, and accelerating or hindering crop growth. Every console is independently configured, persists through world reloads, and works across all dimensions.

How To Use

Opening the Console

Right-click a placed Emotion Engine to open the full Emotion Engine Console screen. The GUI features:

• Mood matrix — a three-column panel showing all twelve moods; click any to activate it.
• Pulsing face display — animates to reflect the current mood.
• Live resonance waveform — a scanline and waveform visualiser showing the active signal.
• Customization panel — adjust radius, intensity, and toggle individual features.

Quick-Cycling

Sneak + Right-click the block to instantly advance to the next mood in the list, no screen required. A message appears on your action bar confirming the change.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Sky tint: Within the configured radius, the sky colour blends toward the mood's signature hue. Neutral and Sad moods do not tint the sky.
• Action bar notifications: When a nearby player enters a mood's radius or the mood changes, the active mood name appears on their action bar.
• Crop growth: Certain moods (notably Joy) accelerate crop growth; others may slow it.
• Weather control: Moods like Anger trigger thunderstorms; Joy clears the sky — when the weather toggle is enabled.
• Mob behaviour: Anger empowers hostile mobs; Fear weakens them. Effects apply only if the mob effects toggle is on.
• Per-console persistence: Every Emotion Engine remembers its mood, radius, intensity, and toggle settings independently, even after reloads or dimension changes.
• Multiple consoles: You can place many Emotion Engines across a world, each projecting a different mood in its own zone.

Progression And Strategy

• Early atmosphere: Place a Calm or Joy engine near your base for passive player buffs and clear weather without much risk.
• Farm boost: A Joy engine near your crops speeds up growth — make sure the weather and particle toggles are on for full effect.
• Combat zone: Drop an Anger engine near a mob farm to empower hostiles for harder (but potentially more rewarding) fights, or a Fear engine to weaken them for safer farming.
• Radius management: Use a small radius for targeted effects (e.g., inside a farm) or expand it to blanket an entire base with a mood's benefits.
• Intensity scaling: Higher intensity means more dramatic particle effects and stronger overall mood output — dial it up for spectacle or down for subtlety.
• Random mood: Enable the random mood toggle for an unpredictable, ever-changing atmosphere — great for adventure maps or event spaces.
• Sneak-cycling: Keep a console nearby and sneak-right-click to rapidly test moods and find the one that suits your current activity.
