Quickstart

1. Craft the Doomsday Notebook using the recipe below.
2. Hold it in your hand and look directly at a living entity (mob or player) within 64 blocks.
3. Right-click (use item) to instantly write their fate — this kills the target on the spot.

Overview

The Doomsday Notebook is a single cursed item with one grim purpose: instant, unavoidable death for whatever you're looking at. Point it at a target and use it — there's no combat, no charge-up, just a name written and a life ended.

What It Adds

• Doomsday Notebook — a book-like item that instantly kills any living entity in your line of sight, up to 64 blocks away.
• A distinct, ominous sound effect that plays whenever the notebook claims a target.
• The notebook is flagged as a cursed item and can also be enchanted like a normal book, letting you combine it with enchantments for personal flavor (though its killing effect is fixed and doesn't depend on enchantments).

How To Use

• Hold the Doomsday Notebook in either hand.
• Aim at a living entity — this can be a hostile mob, a passive animal, or another player — within 64 blocks and with a clear line of sight.
• Use the item (right-click). If a valid target is found:
  • The target is instantly killed, regardless of health or armor.
  • A cursed sound plays.
  • A message appears in chat: "[Target's name]'s name has been written..."
  • The notebook enters a short cooldown (about 5 seconds) before it can be used again.
• If no valid target is in view, you'll get a message letting you know nothing was found — look directly at a mob or player and try again.
• The notebook is a single, unstackable item, so you'll only ever carry one at a time.

Craft the Doomsday Notebook using nether stars, a wither skeleton skull, soul sand, and a book — powerful, end-game materials befitting its deadly effect.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Range: Targets anything alive within 64 blocks that you have a clear line of sight to.
• Effect: Deals lethal damage instantly — this bypasses normal combat mechanics entirely, so armor, potions, or health totals won't save the target.
• Targeting: Automatically picks the closest living entity your look direction intersects with, excluding yourself.
• Cooldown: After each use, the notebook needs roughly 5 seconds to "recharge" before it can be used again.
• Enchanting: Since it's treated like a book for enchanting purposes, you can apply book-compatible enchantments to it via an enchanting table or anvil, though these won't change its core killing effect.

Progression And Strategy
