Overview
Inferno Napalmer adds a single-purpose ranged weapon: the Napalmer, a fuel-powered launcher that fires explosive fire charges. Each shot detonates on impact, damaging anything caught in the blast and setting the area ablaze. It's built for clearing out mobs, torching structures, or just watching things burn from a safe distance.
What It Adds
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Napalmer | A single-use-per-shot launcher that fires fire charges which explode on impact. |
| Flamer Fuel | Ammunition for the Napalmer. Each unit loads several shots into the weapon. |
How To Use
- Equip the Napalmer in your hand and use it like any other held item (right-click/use action).
- The weapon needs Flamer Fuel to fire — if you're out of fuel and don't have creative-mode unlimited resources, it will refuse to fire and remind you that fuel is required.
- Each piece of Flamer Fuel loads multiple shots into the Napalmer, so you don't need to reload after every shot — only once the loaded charges run out.
- After firing, the weapon has a very brief cooldown before it can be used again.
- Fired charges fly in the direction you're looking and explode on contact with a target or terrain, dealing heavy damage to anything nearby and igniting fires that linger for a long time.
- Players with creative-mode flight/build abilities can fire the Napalmer without consuming fuel.
Crafting And Obtaining
- Napalmer:
- Flamer Fuel:
Both recipes use common materials — iron, redstone, copper, blaze rods, coal, blaze powder, and slime balls — so gearing up doesn't require rare resources.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Explosive Impact: Fired charges detonate the moment they hit an entity or block, dealing significant damage to everything within a several-block radius.
- Lingering Fire: The blast leaves fire behind that burns for a long time, making the Napalmer effective for area denial or clearing out flammable structures and mobs over time.
- Fuel-Based Ammo: The weapon tracks its own loaded shot count; each Flamer Fuel item recharges it with multiple shots at once rather than one at a time.
- Fast Follow-Up: The short cooldown between shots lets you fire repeatedly in quick succession as long as you have loaded shots.
Progression And Strategy
Keep a stockpile of Flamer Fuel on hand since the Napalmer burns through its loaded shots quickly in a firefight. Use it at range to detonate charges among groups of enemies, taking advantage of the blast radius and lingering fire to deal damage even after the initial explosion. It's especially effective against flammable structures, wooden bases, or crowded mobs where the area-of-effect and fire duration can do most of the work for you.
