Causality Proof Sword

Quickstart

Craft the sword at a smithing table using a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template, a netherite sword, and a Nether Star. Equip it in either hand and strike a living target to test its defense-piercing damage—each strike costs you one heart of maximum health.

Overview

The Causality Proof Sword is a single, stack-size-one combat item with a netherite sword’s attack profile. It always has an enchantment-like glint.

What It Adds

• Causality Proof Sword: Its direct attacks bypass armor, Resistance, and shields.
• A serious tradeoff: Each qualifying strike permanently reduces your maximum health by 2 health points (one heart) for the rest of your life.

How To Use

Hold the sword in your main hand or offhand and attack a living target normally. The health cost applies when a direct player attack with the sword deals damage. Removing or unequipping the sword does not restore lost maximum health.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Each qualifying strike lowers your maximum health by one heart. Your current health is capped at the new maximum; the cost does not heal you.
• The health penalty remains until you die, at which point your maximum health is restored.
• When your maximum health is 3 points or less, the sword no longer charges health or bypasses defenses; attacks use normal damage handling. Be cautious as your maximum health falls.
