Rabbit Catcher
Quickstart
Craft a Rabbit Catcher using the recipe below, then place it where rabbits can reach it. Right-click any part of the box with a carrot, golden carrot, or dandelion to add bait. Nearby rabbits will be lured toward the entrance; once one hops inside, the box stores it.
- With an empty hand, right-click the box to release a caught rabbit.
- To pick up the box with the rabbit still inside, sneak and right-click it with an empty hand.
Overview
The Rabbit Catcher is a reusable rabbit trap. It attracts a nearby rabbit with bait, holds one rabbit at a time, and lets you release or carry it away.
What It Adds
- A placeable, multi-block bait box that faces toward you when placed.
- A way to lure and capture a rabbit, then release it or pack it up inside the box.
How To Use
- Place the box with enough clear space for its full structure.
- Right-click any part while holding a carrot, golden carrot, or dandelion. One bait item is used.
- Wait for a rabbit within roughly 20 blocks to approach. The box targets a nearby rabbit that can reach it; a rabbit close to the box may be caught as well.
- Once the rabbit is inside, right-click with an empty hand to let it out, or sneak-right-click with an empty hand to pick up the box and rabbit together.
- Place a packed box to set it down again with the rabbit still inside.
A baited box or a box with a rabbit inside cannot accept more bait. Only one rabbit can be stored at a time.

Craft the Rabbit Catcher from oak planks, iron bars, an oak trapdoor, and a carrot using the recipe shown above.## Abilities And Mechanics
The box lures rabbits toward its entrance and stores a rabbit when it reaches the trap. A captured rabbit stays with the box when you pick it up and place it elsewhere.## Progression And Strategy
Place the box somewhere rabbits can path to, and use the facing of its entrance to help guide them in. Keep it baited until a rabbit is caught, then release the rabbit or carry it to a new location inside the packed box.
