Description
The Market Book is the hub for buying and selling, teleport services, nearby-player trades, and auctions. Items show a price even if they aren’t in the market catalog: unlisted items use a default value of $2 to buy and $1 to sell. The book’s catalog shows the actual prices for listed items.
Open the Market Book and select Browse market to view item listings by page. Choose an item, select Buy or Sell held item, enter an amount, then complete the trade. For a market sale, hold the listed item in your selected hotbar slot.
The main menu also lets you sell one item from an inventory slot, sell a whole stack, or sell all items in your inventory. Selling all clears the inventory except for the Market Book and Secret Dimension Book; it does not sell equipped armor. Check the confirmation and total before selling.
Choose the player-trade option in the Market Book menu. The other player must be within 16 blocks. You can offer items from up to 18 inventory slots and add money; the other player must accept for the trade to complete.
Choose the auction-house option to browse active listings or list an item. Only items in the market shop can be auctioned. Set the amount, asking price, and a real-time duration of up to 24 hours. If an auction sells, the seller receives the money when they return; expired listings return their items.
The Market Book is provided when you spawn and is also available in Creative inventory. Most listed goods can be bought through the market. These crafting-table recipes form a chain from Netherite Blocks to the Game Smasher:

The tooltip shows an item’s sell and buy prices. For enchanted gear, each enchantment multiplies the item’s base price by 3: two enchantments make it worth 9 times the base price. Enchanted books have prices based on their listed enchantment and level.
Prices below are per item. The Market Book displays the full catalog and current prices.
| Item | Buy | Sell |
|---|---|---|
| Dirt | $1 | $1 |
| Stick | $2 | $1 |
| Wood Plank | $5 | $3 |
| Wood Log | $20 | $10 |

Sell gathered items to build a balance, then use the catalog to buy better gear and higher-value goods. Check enchantment counts before selling valuable equipment, since enchanted gear can be worth many times its base price.
When you’re ready to explore further, the Market Book’s teleport services offer a Nether trip for $150,000 or entry to the God Dimension for $1,000,000. Returning to the Overworld is free. In the God Dimension, look for a chest near the center containing the Secret Dimension Book. Use it there to buy an End Ingot for $600 billion or a Teleportation Gadget for $25 million.
