Quickstart

• To find one naturally, explore a forest surface in low light. Only one Blazing Pumpkin Wraith can be present at a time.
• For a quick encounter, use its spawn egg from the Creative inventory, or summon it with cheats: /summon com_blazing_pumpkin_wraith_iol7tpxx:mycustom
• Keep your distance and use solid blocks for cover. It fires blazing shots at visible players and can slow you if you get close.

Overview

The Blazing Pumpkin Wraith is a hostile, pumpkin-headed mob that stalks players and attacks with fire, a slowing shriek, and summoned vexes. It has 45 health and is immune to fire.

What It Adds

• A wraith that can spawn on forest surfaces in low light.
• A pumpkin-themed spawn egg and three combat abilities: a flaming ranged attack, a shriek, and vex summoning.

How To Use

There is no crafting recipe for the wraith. Encounter it in a forest or spawn it with its egg or the command above. The egg is for spawning the mob; it is not equipment.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Blazing shot: Fires a flaming projectile at a visible player within range.
• Shriek: Affects players within 6 blocks with slowness for 2 seconds and a knockback.
• Summon vexes: Calls up to two vexes at a time. The wraith limits the number of nearby vexes to three.
• The wraith can move over water and is immune to fire.

Progression And Strategy

Break line of sight with solid cover to avoid its ranged shots. Don’t linger nearby when it shrieks, and watch for vexes after it summons them. A player who kills the wraith is guaranteed 1–2 pumpkins; it may also drop pumpkin seeds or glowstone dust. Looting can improve drops.
